I spend a month comparing headphones at the Apple store using my own iPod to test the sound and comfort quality of various headphones. The ones I tested were: Beats HD, Republic Sol, Bose OE2i and Bose AE2i. My goal was to stay in a price range not to exceed $200. Will to my surprise over and over again the B&W P3 sounded the best. Burn them in over a weekend by playing loud music and they transform - the treble opens up, the midrange comes through and they sound very nice indeed.
