You take your devices everywhere. Which means you might leave them anywhere. Whether they’re at the office in a conference room or under a pillow on your couch, with Find My iPhone, chances are they won’t be lost for long.
See what you’re missing.
Don’t panic. If one of your Apple devices goes missing, iCloud can help you figure out where you left it. Just sign in at iCloud.com or use the Find My iPhone app to see your missing Mac, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch on a map. And iOS 6 and iCloud offer Lost Mode — making it even easier to find and protect a missing iOS device. With Lost Mode, you can immediately lock your device and send it a message with a contact number. Then whoever finds it can call you from the Lock screen without accessing the rest of the information on your device.

Remotely lock your missing device with a four-digit passcode. Or initiate a remote wipe to delete your personal data and restore your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac to its factory settings.
Have your iPhone play a sound (even if it’s set to silent) or display a message and a contact number. Whoever finds your iPhone can call you from your Lock screen — without having access to the rest of your information.
If your device is offline when you try to locate it using Find My iPhone, you can ask to receive an email as soon as it makes a Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
