    Great, but network/app Issues

Wemo is a great product, and points to a future where much more of our homes will be controlled by devices like these. At the moment it's sadly let down by the free app, which has a tendency to crash, lose switches, or require multiple refreshes to utilise its functionality. Other times, it works just fine. Go figure! My suspicions that this has to do with the total load on my wifi network at the time I want to use the Wemo app. A fully working functional app would win this five stars. As it is, it merits only three.

Needs Improvement but GREAT for what it is

I purchased one for my office. I liked it so much, I eventually bought four more to add in. Hoping to also create a Wemo atmosphere at my home, I soon found that you can't have your cake and eat it too. At this time, you can only use Wemo in ONE LOCATION. I have chosen to keep mine at the office. I hope Belkin will improve this and allow multiple locations. If they do, I will give them 5 stars!

    works great but ...

my wemo seems to be incontinent! When it is shut off, still a little of power is going through! So the control light of my coffee machine is still visible!!! Don't know if that is ok or not?! When wemo is off, there should be no power at all!!

    Port Conflict

The WEMO works fine, if you're not running a Mac server. It requires, and will attempt to auto-map, ports used by OS X Server - 8080 and 8443

Don't bother with WEMO until they either change ports or allow access - telnet, ssh, guy, whatever, to set ports manual.

Surprised to see this in the Apple store for these reasons.

Basically Wemo is a really useful product but beware if you have more than one switch, and you have a range extender in your house. If one switch is logged via the range extender & the other is on the main router, they may not both show up, especially when you try remote access. Belkin say that they have not fixed this problem 'yet', so maybe a software upgrade will fix this sometime in the future.
