Visit our Troubleshooting and How-to page for helpful troubleshooting information. If an article determines that a replacement part will solve your issue, please contact your local Apple Authorised Service Provider. You can also seek help from other users in our iPod Hi-Fi Discussions forum. If you've reviewed the articles and are still not sure whether your iPod Hi-Fi requires service, you can take your iPod Hi-Fi to your local Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. Note: You may be charged a fee for diagnostic service if your issue isn't covered under warranty. Your iPod Hi-Fi is covered for one year by Apples One-Year Limited Warranty. Warranty service for eligible repairs is available at no charge for 12 months from the date of original retail purchase. Apple may need to examine your proof of purchase document to verify your iPod Hi-Fi warranty status. Visit the Service and Parts page, enter your iPod Hi-Fi serial number in the field under Support Coverage, and click Go. Our Warranty Check tool will display information about your product, including how many days remain on your warranty. Apple may provide service by taking your iPod Hi-Fi to an AASP near you. Service times often depend on the nature of the issue and the availability of service parts at the service location. Be sure to ask how long service will take when you carry in your iPod Hi-Fi for service at your local AASP. |

At this time, Apple does not offer an extended support agreement for iPod Hi-Fi. If your warranty has expired, you still have access to all available service options, but you will be responsible for the cost of service, including parts, labour, shipping (if any), and applicable taxes. AppleCare or your local AASP representative will provide you with an estimate of service costs before receiving your authorisation to perform service. Yes. But before you do, read our Apple Remote troubleshooting articles on the Troubleshooting and How-to page. You may be able to resolve the issue using the steps in an article. If an article determines that you need a replacement remote, please contact your local Apple Authorised Service Provider. Apples One-Year Limited Warranty excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, unauthorised service and unauthorised modifications. Please review the warranty for further details. Apple reserves the right to refuse service on iPod Hi-Fis that are outside their warranty if damage has occurred due to accident, abuse or misuse. In such event, Apple or an AASP will return your iPod Hi-Fi to you without providing service, and may hold you responsible for shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax. See Apples Repair Terms and Conditions for details. If Apple provides service under warranty, the terms of the warranty and applicable provisions of law will cover defects in materials and workmanship that arise during the warranty or 90 days after service, whichever provides longer coverage for you. If iPod Hi-Fi service is provided outside of warranty, Apple warrants that your iPod Hi-Fi will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of the iPod Hi-Fi service. |
