Don't listen to the haters....This is a fantastic "keyboard"

Love at first use. This keyboard is amazing. Yes, it does only cover the front, but so what. Yes, there is no holder for the pencil, but, so what. Yes, the Love at first use. This keyboard is amazing. Yes, it does only cover the front, but so what. Yes, there is no holder for the pencil, but, so what. Yes, there may be some functionality glitches, but again, so what. This Smart "KEYBOARD" for iPad Pro rocks. Apple only promised us a keyboard, and that's what this is. The whiners probably shake their birthday cards for money before they read them, so sad. This is by far the best peripheral keyboard I've ever used in terms of feel and accuracy. Oh, and the feel/look of the materials/design is far from cheap, as mentioned in some other reviews. They nailed it, AGAIN!! Thanks Apple. Bottom Line - Drop the coin and don't look back. This keyboard will transform your iPad Pro into a monster of mayhem.(in a good way). Cheers!!

After 35 years of computing, my favorite keyboard of all time.

I make virtually no typing errors on it, and it's proximity to the display makes the combination of a keyboard and the touch screen really work. With my other iPads, I used several aftermarket keyboards and typically abandoned them in a short time. I love this one, and hope that the shortcomings will be resolved soon in software.

      Best keyboard experience

The keyboard might seem a bit on the higher end when it comes to the price, but then it is a pleasure to use. Based on my past experience with Logitech keyboard The keyboard might seem a bit on the higher end when it comes to the price, but then it is a pleasure to use. Based on my past experience with Logitech keyboards, I was a bit sceptical in using a keyboard at first but so far have not been disappointed. The quality is excellent, the keyboard works and integrates well with the iPadPro. Some people might want a trackpad - but given it is an iPad, you really do not need any. I recommend to get an Apple Pencil as well.

      Handy and useful

Is good quality but think the price could be a bit lower. But would recommend.

      Over priced

This keyboard is way over priced. $265 for only one viewing angle and no backlit keyboard - this also does not offer any protection for the back of the iPad Pro This keyboard is way over priced. $265 for only one viewing angle and no backlit keyboard - this also does not offer any protection for the back of the iPad Pro - you can purchase a back cover for $129 which is ridiculous. I do like typing on this keyboard and the design does compliment the iPad Pro's aesthetics. I am a huge Apple fan and have most of their products but they are getting a bit greedy with their pricing now.

      Hard Call

The convenience of having it always attached to the iPad is I've been using this keyboard for four months now, and I still can't decide how I feel about it. The convenience of having it always attached to the iPad is a win over traditional Bluetooth keyboards, but at the same time, it adds a significant amount of weight and bulk to an otherwise svelte device. It feels incredibly sturdy given its probably-as-thin-as-possible construction, but I'm already seeing glossy wear-spots in the fabric covering, making it look much less attractive than before. I can use it on my lap (carefully), but it's meant for a desk. Given that it's on a desk, it's probably under direct lighting, so the lights reflect badly off the wear-spots. Having used a number of other keyboards in the past with iOS devices, I thought I would be fine living without the dedicated function key row for controlling things like volume and brightness. I was wrong; I miss those keys terribly. The key response and feel, however, is amazingly good considering what this keyboard actually is. To make it work in a protective way for the iPad, you need to add the back Smart Cover, too. This combination is crazy expensive, especially considering I had a less elegant—but eminently workable—solution with an inexpensive book-style cover and a small, lightweight, fabric keyboard from another manufacturer (that had function keys). The combination, even with the external keyboard having its own battery, actually weighed less. I don't see myself going back to that case (which I even had a loop for the Pencil on) and keyboard combination because the always-on and always-available nature of this keyboard is fantastic, but not a day goes by when I don't think about it because of the decreased weight and the glare from the worn spots on the key fabric starting to appear and being a distraction. Would I buy it again? I honestly don't know the answer to that question.
