Is this compatible with AT&T 3G MicroCell? AT&T says that the trouble appears to be with the port on the Apple Airport Express.

I've connected the Airport Express and the internet is working fine, but my AT&T 3G MicroCell booster is no longer working. I've contacted AT&T and they say the trouble appears to be with the port on the Apple Airport Express, and that it may not allow the required connection. Is this true or is this AT&T's way of blaming someone else?

  • Can't speak to the Airport Express, but I do have the Airport Time Capsule and the 3G Microcell works perfectly with it.

  • No. You will need another method to connect the microcell. I use TP LINK 500 Mbps and it works great. You buy the starter set of two and plug the first into your router modem and the other to the microcell. The Ethernet connection goes through the 110 volt system. They just plug into the wall. Over a year now no problems.
