I see that the 12 Watt adapter now list the Apple Watch as being compatible on the web site. So, apparently this has been tested enough that Apple feels confident in us using it. I just got my Apple Watch recently and I've been using the 12 watt adapter and it seems to charge a bit faster and thus far I've seen no issues. It certainly won't void your warranty as indicated by the previous post.

  • I don't see why it wouldn't. It still uses Li-ion battery pack that was also standard in the very small iPod shuffle 4th gen which is listed compatibable with the 12W Apple brand charger on their website. I would NOT recommend using it though for two reasons. 1) Until it as listed as such your warranty for your $350+ watch may be voided using that charger. Plus it is also an option to use a MacBooks power extension adaptor for it. It may be too much to handle. And 2) I spoke with Apple reps through the online chat, and using this plug in was not suggested at this time. (Which was two weeks ago from this date.) Good luck and enjoy your watch, as I have.  <3
