    It really depends on what are you planning on using it for.

    No, if you plan on using it for web browsing, light work and using it in a smaller environment. You really don't need to spend all that much on a router for simple tasks.

    Yes, if you plan on using it for hardcore gaming, media streaming, large file downloading and using it in a large environment where the range of the device is crucial for maximum speed and minimum latency. This is more for power users in mind.

    For me though, I have many computers and i do a lot of gaming and transferring of files. But the killer feature for me was the ability to hook up 3 usb devices with a powered hub in which i connect to my external hard drives and my printer.

    Which is why I have 2 of these.
