    No.

Apple has a support document entitled "About the compatibility of the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter" detailing it (I'm not allowed to post the link here).

  • Not directly. However I have a Pegasus Promise R4 drive and if I plug that into my MacBook Pro with Touchbar and then plug my mini display port into the second port on the back of the Promise drive it works without any dramas.

So if you have any hardware that allows you to daisy chain thunderbolt potentially that might work.

However I can only testify for my setup.
