Can I install software like office or windows programs in the MacBook Air via USB or CD/DVD?

I have a question, Can I install software like office or windows programs in the MacBook Air via USB or CD/DVD?
I mean that if is possible to install software other way than AppStore!? Or I have to download the programs that via mandatory!?
For example if I want to install, office, or I want to install a game, or something else!?
Or if there is an app of the program i want, I wouldn't be able to install it from a CD/DVD?

You can install Windows programs using a program called PlayOnMac, which is a front-end to another program called Wine. Most programs work without issue, but some will crash or have bugs because Wine is "alpha" software. This program will also work on several other Unix-based operating systems. This will only work if your computer has an Intel CPU. It will not work on older Macs that have a PowerPC CPU. Another option, with higher compatibility, is to run Windows in VirtualBox, which also requires an Intel CPU. If you have a PowerPC CPU, you can run Windows in Qemu, although it will be much slower.
