Who knew a keyboard could be so lovely?

MMM..love this new keyboard. I only bought it b/c the original keyboard got ruined. I was not expecting something so pleasing. Typing on it is extremely smooth, especially compared to the old keyboard. The special keys for iTunes/iMovie, dashboard, etc. are very handy. The USB ports are also a very useful considering my Mac only has 3 ports. My hands will not be cramping as much when writing lengthy papers. Apple did a super job!

    Excellent Keyboard

The main reason I bought this was because it was an apple product. And once again I wasn't disappointed at all. The keys resemble that of the macbooks' but they are much more stable. The F1 - F12 keys are also great. They offer features such as dashboard and play, pause, forward, backward and such. The design of it feels very solid. Overall Excellent product. Great job Apple.

    As you all probably know the design is amazing, the keys are the same chick-let style as the currant macbook and macbook air they feel great under the finger and is comfortable to type on for long periods of time, the multi media keys are a great addition and are extremely useful another good point of the keyboard are the two usb 2.0 ports very handy all in all a fantastic keyboard. i recommend this keyboard to any mac user.;

    Keyboard review

I have been using this keyboard for about a week and I think it is great. I have read around on the net about people saying that it is too small and like a laptop keyboard but it is nothing like a laptop keyboard. This keyboard is a full size keyboard and the keys are spread out really well. Down side I have found with this keyboard is the placement of the FN key. The placement of the fn key means that I use my right hand to press it and my left hand to select the key. And I also have to move my right hand right over and press it. But I think im just used to my laptop keyboard where I can press the fn key with my pinky. Also they need to make the able longer because not every one has there computer on there desk, then you have to go and buy a cable extender and im not into the whole wireless setup I prefer cords just one less thing having to worry about. Another down side to the keyboard is that the keys don’t have back lighting. They put this in there laptop keyboard I don’t see why they can’t add this in the desktop keyboards (I can see why they can’t put it in their wireless ones) other than that it is amazingly thin and very strong great for my macbook pro and it matches colour. Love the play and pause keys. But in the end I am very happy with this purchase the keys are very soft and responsive but hard enough so you don’t hit another keys. Great Product.

    Great keyboard

I bought a refurb Mac Mini and a new Apple keyboard. The keyboard works great. After 6 weeks the spacer bar quit working. I called Apple and they sent a replacement in 2 days. Thank you Apple! Good job!

Great Keyboard, but USB memory sticks don't fit

Just bought one of these keyboards from PC World for £29. Really nice to use like a MacBook keyboard, but if you use a USB memory stick in the USB port, found most of mine don't fit, because the clearance is too small between the port and the underside of the keyboard. This is a shame, because with the previous generation of keyboard, it just plugged straight into the port on the rear, rather than blindly trying to use the USB ports on the back of the iMac to plug in a memory stick.

Tried to use the extension cable as a flying lead, but this only works with the USB port for the keyboard, because there is a "V" shape in the middle of the connector. So all rather annoying.

    Not just a pretty face

When I first saw this keyboard, I thought "Wow! Looks cool - I wonder if you can actually type on it?". Well... I've had it for just under 3 weeks now, and I can honestly say that it's the best keyboard I've ever used.

So, if you're a bit nervous about the radically different design of this keyboard, don't be. You'll be up to speed in next to no time, and you'll never look back.

Congratulations, Apple, on (yet again) designing something that looks amazing AND performs amazingly.

    You need one!

This keyboard boggles my mind. It has a lovely feel and is quiet to type on. It's design is immaculate - every time I see it I smile and as a bonus it's connected to my PC (you can use free software called 'applekeys' to emulate the printscreen and scroll lock keys). How it's only £25 given the build quality and materials I'll never know. If it was £120 I can promise you, I'd be looking at how I could raise the funds! Already have two more on order for impressed friends and family...

    Help...I've fallen and I can't get up!

I have fallen in love with this keyboard!
60 year old typist with arthritic fingers, finds spatial movement is lessened and accuracy is resplendently restored. Along with many other older, foolish folks out there, I spend many mealtimes sitting over the keyboard. My frustration level has also lessened as my tea and toast crumbs are no longer interacting with my keyboard. Bonus! This keyboard is a pleasure to drive. Now, if I can just find the brakes...maybe I can get up myself.

    Great Keyboard!

This is the best Apple Keyboard I have seen! It feels so more nicer when you type, and it feels like you're typing with a Macbook! I put it next to my old Apple Keyboard, and it is so different! For a start, it is very thin and it looks more modern and not as plasticy as it is made out of aluminum, although the base is made from plastic. I like the idea of some of the function keys because you can Play/Pause songs on iTunes and it has got an Expose key and a Dashboard key. The brightness keys do not seem to work, unless that is because you need an Apple Cinema Display. Also, the Apple Logo has disappeared from the Command Key?.

Overall, I rate it 9/10 (and 5 stars!) because it is a great modern looking keyboard, It hasn't got the full 10/10 because it would be useful for the brightness keys to work. I think this product is a must buy!

Gold Star for Apple, keyboard is excellent.

Layout is a little different from earlier versions, but I adjusted quickly and find this beats earlier boards I've used over 30 years using Apple keyboards and compatibles.
    Great job Apple!
I bought two for my Dual G5 and 17" MB Pro. Both function uniformly same.

    Fantastic for Mac or Windows!

I just got this keyboard for christmas and couldn't be happier. It types just like a laptop keyboard: fast and noiseless. My favourite part of the board itself is that it works flawlessly on windows! Simply plug and play!

Best PC Keyboard Money Can Buy

I’ve just had this keyboard for Christmas for my PC and it's the best keyboard I've ever used.
Apart from the quite nature of the keyboard and the fact that I can't hear my partner hammering the keys late at night, great, this is such a low price for the materials used, I can't believe it.
Two low power USB's (you shouldn't rely on them to charge your iPod or any other battery for that matter) are great for plugging my phone, camera, card reader into. Classic design, keys feel great to me.
Just remember on PC your @ and your " keys are not as marked on the keyboard, they are swapped.

    A work of ART!

I just bought this keyboard a few nights ago but have already used most of its features, and I'm completely blown away by it. Its new sleek design is just awesome and the keys are so quiet on it. The USBs work flawlessly with no problems with errors coming up saying not enough power.

I did read a review on here about the spacebar not working reliable but I have no complaints about that ether it works fine so I don't know if apple fixed it or its just some keyboards that have that problem but all is great. Apple did a amazing job on this keyboard it almost puts the old one to shame. Great job guys!!!

    Best Keyboard Ever!

This is a great Keyboard. I had the older MAC keyboard which came with an iMac my sister sold me as she got the new one but when I visited her at Christmas, I absolutely loved the new keyboard. The touch and feel are so nice. You don't have to slam the keys but they are very tight. The size of it is just right too. The function keys are set up in I think just the right spots and they still have the 2 usb ports. This is by far Apple's best keyboard. I got it, I love it, you should get it, you'll love it........

Best keyboard i have ever typed on. At first i had doubts on this new "aluminum" model because i just happen to be one of those people who have mammoth hands-it was surprising on how small it was, compared to the backlit Saitek Eclipse II. Keys feel great, perfect spacing, instant plug-and-play on my MacBook. And having F1 through-F19 keys is great, Number keypad is a great addition to any Mac Notebook user. Great Price.
