    Surprisingly great ergonomics and response

This keyboard is great for my MBP.
While I love being able to travel around with my laptop, at work it's nice to have a "real" keyboard, complete with a numbers pad (I do a lot of data entry). I was skeptical that a keyboard so thin would have good responsiveness in the keys, but this works great. Even better, it fits nicely into my large computer bag. It's hard to realize just how thin it is from the online photos, but in person it is remarkable.

First of all, this keyboard looks and feels great. However, I will be returning it because it doesn't work with my Iogear KVM switch, which I need to use to access multiple computers. There are multiple posts about this in the support forum, and it seems the keyboard doesn't work with ANY KVM switch, so if that's a requirement, get a different keyboard.

    Apple Goes Stupid

The good: Sleek design. One star or that.
The bad: Apple goes Dell/HP in this design in that now they cater to complete morons who think that having "media buttons" is really slick. Only Dell & HP & such did that 8 years ago, Apple discovers it only now. Pathetic and stupid. F keys are assigned to silly iTunes functions, so when I need F9 in other applications, it skips a song in iTunes. If you're a serious user, get a serious keyboard like Lexington.

If you're looking to get a different feel to your typing experience - try this. I went to an Apple store to try it out and thought, yeah, this is good. Now at home I think it's much better than good; it's excellent. Seems to me the engineers behind this did their research: what is needed in a keyboard? What might a different typing experience be like? It's smooth, fast, springy, tight, elegant, slim, and feels surprisingly strong for such a thin tool. Leaves my old G4 keyboard with the large keys and deep touch in the dust. Just enough give in the keys to make it a hit, and nothing more. Less fatigue and fewer mistakes. Well done, Apple.

    Best Keyboard Ever

Far and away the best keyboard I have ever used. Sleek, stylish, and the best part: it's a pleasure to type on. I wish every keyboard in the world could be like this one.

    Apple Keyboard

Aesthetically exceptional! Finished in high quality, handsome materials incorporating smooth rounded corners. Feel good, responsive keys.Operational quietness pleasing-space bar the only 'key' emitting any sound. Special function keys are helpful as Apple has chosen appropriate items to highlight. I would have accorded 5 stars, however, as reported in another post, the 'caps lock' key is a wee bit dysfunctional.....yes, I know, aren't we all!!!

This kb, simply put, is just another thing that makes me remember why I fell in luvvv with APPLE in the first place!!! APPLE ROCKS-yes, indeed-ROCK ON!!

    Nice Keyboard

I just got this new keyboard to work with my MacBook and monitor. When I got the box and it said "made in China", I was a bit worried. I kinda vowed not to buy stuff made in China since I have not been impressed. However, this keyboard has been great. It feels well built, looks nice and if you can type.. you can fly on this keyboard.

    Amazing Compatability

I run the Linux distribution openSUSE, but have always loved the Apple style and operating system. My old keyboard needed replacement, so I decided to go all out and buy this keyboard, and don't regret it for an instant. I plugged it right into Linux, and it just worked! Beautiful keyboard all around!

USB2 port no good for memory stick

Beautifully designed keyboard and a delight to use but... I bought it expecting that because it was USB2 (my old Apple keyboard was USB1) I could plug my memory stick into it. No such luck - I received a low poor warning.

    Less Typos!

Just "upgraded" from G5 Quad to 24" iMac 2.8Ghz with this NEW KEYBOARD. It is better, quite, much easier to type on since it lies flat, and looks better than the older white plastic model too. I am making MUCH less typos! I will be buying a second one for our MacBookPro and selling the old Apple pro Keyboard.

I've used this for a couple of weeks now and I can say it is an absolutely fabulous keyboard. So different than the typical. Wasn't sure I'd like it at first, but it's really great. Very fast typing. Matches my MacBook in feel of the keys.

Downloaded the keyboard update after connecting (just use Software Update and it will find it). All keys seem to work fine except I can't fine numlock for the number pad. Found this problem in the PC ver of Excel working under Parallels--the number pad doesn't type numbers, but I don't know how to turn it on.

I like the dashboard and expose keys on F4 and F3.

USB ports (2 of them) give me a low power error when I hook up my cell phone. Weird since it should be a pass-thru to the MacBook. Microsoft mouse in the other port.

Very pleased overall. Plus, there's the WOW factor when people stop by my desk. Have to lock it up at night, though, to make sure it will be there in the morning!!

    A good product

I am a new mac user but still i have used the old keyboard, this one to say is very sleek and small, takes less desk space is every thin looks nice. The for ppl who think their caps lock is broken or not functioning properly, u are wrong, its not tht, the cap lock has a function that it doesnt switch on with an accidental press, it used to be so annoying on my pc keyboard and never would have thought someone will every fix this problem with such a simple solution, if u wanna use caps lock just press it for a milli sec more than usual thats it. over all this product is close to perfect.

    Nothing short of brilliant!

What's not to like? It's small, comfortable, beautiful, quiet, and much easier to type quickly and correctly. My former white mac keyboard, at home and office, had an annoying sticking or binding feel...possibly due to the angle at which I strike the keys. Not so with this new keyboard. Aesthetically, it pairs perfectly with both of my white/aluminum iMacs and my Mac Pro and looks like it was specifically built for both. Frankly, I don't like using traditional keyboards now. For a product this good and innovative, it is worth $49.

    Love it!

You can't go wrong with this one. Like going from their old keyboard (yugo) to a Porsche, Very comfortable. If you buy, when you get it you will need to go to system preferences then universal access and turn off mouse keys to get the key pad to work.

One more thing, don't forget to get your software for it by doing an apple update!

    Works on Vista PC

Plug and play compatible w/ PC running Vista Home Premium. Device manager seems to find/install proper driver. Only problem is with the special Apple keys and top row (function keys). Not work when used on PC. Technically astute users may be able to reprogram them. Though, not a big loss IMHO. I never use those function keys anyway.

I've been using it for a couple days now. Must confess that while it looks cooler on my desk than the previous MS keyboard I had, it's a bit harder to type on owing to the shallow depth of the keys.
