    Apple Keyboard With Numeric Keyboard

Another excellent product from Apple, beautifully made and a joy to work on. The keys do take a little getting used to, it is rather like going from a typrewriter to a computer keyboard for the first time.
Once you have used the keyboard for a couple of days it will seem that you have been using this keyboard for years. The keys are crisp and direct, they are a touch typist's dream. the layout is good, apart from the position of the fn key which is in an unusual place. I chose the wired version for the numeric keyboard which I use a lot.

I would highly recommend this product particularly for the price.

    Well done Apple

I am so glad I bought it, and would happily recommend it.

    Love this product

I have found, over months of use, that the keyboard is geat to use. It is comfortable, the keystrokes give just enough resistance (so you do not find yourself having mulyiple keystrokes and one press). the addition of the numeric pad is useful when 'number-crunching' and of course it looks fantastic.

I have used other keyboards but find this by far the bes.

    Brilliant USB conections

It's really handy to have two USB sokets on the keyboard as my computer base unit is tucked away so it is difficult to acssess the USB ports on the main computer

    Apple wired Keyboard

Love, love, LOVE the new keyboard! I had a spill on my old one (first time for me) & I'm actually glad it happened - I didn't realize the new keyboard was so light and has almost silent key operation. I use the usb side ports for mice & cameras.

How much better can a keyboard get?

A joy to use and very responsive. By the way to get the # simply press alt-3. Simply beautiful!

My thoughts on the Wired Apple Keyboard!

I love the Apple Keyboard so much it has to be the best keyboard i have ever used, i am a publisher for a well known magazine and obviously as you aspect their is allot of writing going on or typing in my case, but i would just like to clarify that the keyboard does have a # key and that you are going crazy because i am using it fine to be honest so it officiously is their + oh that response time well let me tell you that the response time of this keyboard is really great and maybe its just because you have got an old Mac and it can't take the new Apple Keyboard as well as your old one. So with that i am going nice talking to you about this matter but i thought that it needed to be clarified that it is always human error in thing that are not working on the computer wether it be Mac or windows p.c.!!

    Great product

I type for long periods, and I've had to change to this keyboard since my wrists and hands started hurting from using my mac pro's keyboard, and I'm glad I changed. Less pressure is needed to hit the keys, compared to the mp keyboard, and I've noticed an increase in typing speed. Though I'm still getting used to this keyboard, I think I might need a keyboard pad for my wrists since the keyboard is almost flat against my desk. Delete keys work continuously for me. My only problem is that the USB port (though nicely hidden underneath) gets difficult to disconnect my peripherals from it.

Amazingly low profile and very smooth

I love the 1/4 press keys and the ease of use, and I have had it for more than a year and still love it. I type at least 12 pages a day on this aluminum keyboard and i have never experienced any cramping and my tendinitis never flares up. I find myself wanting to take it to work because the win pc's that we have at work still use the full key bulky keyboards and I'm always getting cramps and my tendinitis is killing me.

Until mac comes out with a keyboard that improves on this one i will never switch back.

    Very Nnnnice

This is really nice looking (always important for us Apple folk) but functional. The USB ports (x2) are a very clever touch as you lose one on the Mac plugging the keyboard in. It makes a difference having those extra keys (end, home, delete etc. not to mention the number pad.)
Only criticisms would be why can't you get the wireless version i.e. keyboard with the extra number pads etc? Plus the cable to plug into the mac is cheap and looks untidy. why didn't they use the same material as they power cable, ipod docking cable?
Overall, very good - love the key action and not too clunky like a lot of windows type keyboards.

Apple Keyboard with Numeric Keypad (not fully working with 10.5.8)

KeyBoard works overall, but the Delete keys can not be held down to perform continuous delete. You have to keep hitting the delete buttons, one letter at a time.

I love Apple so much! I like the wireless Apple Keyboard better but if you need the numeric key pad then this is a great keyboard! Buy it!!!

    Excellent keyboard

I recently replaced the keyboard that came with my computer (it had a run-in with lasagna once) and am entirely impressed by this new thinner, easy-to-use design. I am extremely happy with the feel of the keyboard and it makes typing much easier as you don't have to keep your hands so high off the desk. Will definitely be keeping this keyboard for a long time to come.

At a desk, wired is better than wireless and here's why...

For most Mac users, we delight in the fact that Apple products are SMART and INNOVATIVE. Well, once agan, that is just what THIS FULL KEYBOARD is. It's only as wide, long and thick as a keyboard needs to be. Due to the fact that it 2 has built-in USBs, it automatically comes raised/angled due to their design as compensated underneath the keyboard (so for all of you worried about ergonomic design, the keyboard is titled nicely).

Now, I'm a HUGE advocate of having "extra space" on my desktop, so at first I only wanted the keyboard that's the exact same size/build as my MacBook Pro 13" 's...Much to my surprise, I bought the full wired keyboard because of the additional KEYS [ex: "delete >" (RIGHT) and delete (regular backspace), Arrow keys, sperate numerical pad!!] and they have DEFINITELY come in handy. (pun intended).

If your needs are based on using any external keyboard at your desk (and you the additional keys/features appealing in a full keyboard) get this keyboard over the wireless. It even comes with an extension-cable (that I needed to utilize, in addition it's the regular wire, for the keyboard to reach from under my desk's keyboard tray, up and around to the back of desk and finally to my external monitor's USB plug). As set up in the manner which I have it, the cable NEVER gets in the way and I never even realize that it's there. If you MUST have the keyboard on top your desk, then I can see how a wire would be annoying: both noticeable and in-the-way. Also, if you want to use the keyboard to control your computer for strict multimedia use (say, from your bed or from livingroom couch/table with Apple TV) then the wireless version obviously suits your needs better.

In my opinion, this keyboard is for the desk-worker who will utilize all of it's full features and also doesn't want to worry about batterie in a wireless keyboard. (That said, if Apple ever did make this same full-featured wired keyboard wireLESS, it would be the ultimate for everyone I imagine- but for now, this is what is available, I love it so far and I'm glad that I bought it over the wireless - again, it truly suits all of my desk-working needs and setup, perfectly).

    Wot, no # key?!

Someone somewhere wasn't thinking when they designed the UK version. Spent ages thinking I had gone crazy staring at the keyboard, searching in vain. There is a work round but you would think they would include # key which is so important to programmers before they started filling the spaces with random symbols such as §!

    Prone to fail

I have gone through 2 of these with multiple and single non-functioning keys. I am not a fan but I like the action in usage. Warranty has been on the first two but when the next one goes out.. i will opt for someone else's product. cannot keep replacing keyboards every less than a year.

An excellent keyboard and feels even more solid than my Macbook Pro 13" keyboard, which in itself is excellent!

I wanted to have a wireless one but couldn't justify the cost and lack of keys / usb ports compared to the wired one.

I purchased this keyboard only 2-3 hours ago and it is simply amazing.

It beautiful, it looks amazing and typing on it couldn't be nicer. The lack of tilt adjustment is, from my point of view a good thing. This removes any moving parts reducing the keyboards ability to break.

    Buy it.

@Apple: This keyboard with Numeric Keypad NEEDS to be wireless! I can't stand the shortened wireless variant.

    One good, One awful

Bought two of these keyboards back in January. One works fine and would get 4 stars. I don't quite love the "feel" of the keys, but they're not bad. The other has been getting worse and worse at intermittently missing keystrokes and (even worse) intermittently repeating keystrokes ad-infinitum. Will return or replace soon (it's practically unusable now). How long is the warranty? Can't find it anywhere... *sigh* Zero stars for the web-site designer!

Much better feel than the old fullsize. However, the old fullsize was wireless/BT why not this one? Would have been great!
