    great piece of work

had this for over a year now, the usb ports come in really handy for my macbook pro, and the num-pad is a must have.
wouldn't trade it for anything else.

    Best keyboard out there

I don´t know any other keyboard that can beat the design and comfortable feeling that this keyboard deliever. The buttons are easy and soft to type on, because underneath the buttons there are plastic bumpers that generates a very soft down-press-feeling. I also like the 2 USB inputs and the special-function keys to acess dashboard, exposé, itunes, volume etc. The construction quality feels solid, robust and exclusive. Like the heavy weight. Buy! :D

A Great Keyboard from a Great Company

I have to admit that I had my doubts when purchasing this keyboard a few weeks ago. Since retailers in my country (Greece) are awuful, I've bought it used from an online store. I think it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'm using a non-Mac computer running windows 7 but everything works perfctly except from some specialised keys from Mac, even the windows key works perfectly by pressing the cmd button. The keystroke is just perfect for evey use and transform typing from a chore to pleasure. The design of this keyboard is like from another planet and it's size is just perfect no matter how small or big your desk might be. The only thing that can be improved is the spacebar feeling which is not so good like all other keys. To sum up this is a great keyboard for all kind of users from secretairies to hardcore gamers.

Works well, but cable too short

The keyboard works well, after all, a keyboard is pretty uncomplicated. However, when most keyboards ship with a 6ft long cable, Apple's is much shorter. Want to put your iMac on the tabletop and your keyboard in a sliding tray underneath? Forget it.

    Great!!

I found this particular keyboard to be great. The slimness of the keys allows for easy movement across the board and the addition of the numberpad allows for easy mathematical calculations. My only complaint is that there isn't a wireless keyboard with a numberpad.

    Excellent keyboard, one small problem.

I just bought this keyboard the other day and it is wonderful i can type faster and it looks fantastic.
it comes with a usb cord extender and one problem i have found is that if you use the extender when i plug my mouse into one side usb port, there is not enough power to power a usb in the other usb port.

but other than that fantastic keyboard well done apple

    Great but its wired!

It looks great, it types great, BUT WHY is it not wireless? The Apple Keyboard Pro is awesome and because it is wireless. (I am going back to it.) Apple please get back to a full size wireless keyboard.

    Great keyboard.

I've been using this keyboard for just under 2 yrs. My typing skills are lousy. But the feel and design of this keyboard is nice. It has a small footprint, and the spacing between the keys makes typing on it easier. If Apple made this keyboard in a Bluetooth wireless version, I would own it tomorrow.

    Was loving it until...

Although it looks great, I was against this keyboard for a long time. I picked one up anyways and once I got used to it I fell in love with it. However, after only 4 months it started going haywire and causing glitches in programs before completely shutting down. I thought it was my iMac that was dying because I couldn't see how a keyboard could cause so many frightening problems (screen flashes, apps randomly opening and closing, full freezing...). Thankfully, I switched back to the old white plastic keyboard and everything worked fine. Needless to say, I am taking this back. Hopefully, I can find the receipt and swap it out. I am on the fence about replacing it otherwise. Maybe I just got a bunk one. In any case, I am disappointed.

    Keys are flat and slippery

I work on a computer almost 8 hours a day, and do extensive typing. This keyboard seems cool and satisfies me for a couple of days. However, the practicality is doubtful at best. The keys are flat, and hence, while doing fast typing my fingers often slip and press wrong keys.

Also, the white keys are easily stained. For that reason, I cannot return this product now, and I am using it as a 2-port USB hub. I am very satisfied with a much cheaper other-brand simple keyboard.

Apples Peripherals Are Made To Be Looked At, Not Used.

Extremely disappointed with the keyboard. First off the side USBs get in the way when you're trying to use them. Second, the USB ports couldn't even power a USB mouse and USB headset. But somehow the predecessor white USB keyboard had no problem with it.

Great Keyboard in both form and function

This keyboard is stylish and responsive. My wife used to type out notes for her job and she loves how smooth and fast the keyboard is. It has increased her typing speed noticably. Also I love the itunes controls on the top and the eject button for my Mac mini being on the keyboard. All in all this is a great buy.

    Simple but Powerful

I have recently bought this keyboard to allow me to clear up not only my desk but to use it specifically with final cut pro. I really love the fact that this is very useful and that the usb works perfectly with my portable external drive and also my ipod touch at the same time. Thanks apple for once again coming up with a useful and powerful at the same time beautiful product. Im please. Buy this is you want the best wire keyboard ever, you won't be disappointed.

    Why rubber keys?

It came with the iMac 24 I bought this past Summer. I opted for the usb with the numeric keypad...don't know why anyone would not want a numeric keypad
It couldn't handle most usb devices I plugged into it. So that's a waste.
The soft rubber keys with tight clearences simply invited trouble. I got a grain of sand stuck in the Control button once. It took me hours to figure out that problem.
It has no back light. Something that would have gave it another star. The command button is awkwardly placed, making it impossible to enjoy Microsoft office applications.
It was lightweight and moved around too easy

After 4 months maybe, it failed completely. I was getting FS when I hit the F. VR when I hit the V, and a host of other double keys strokes. I unplugged it form my Mac and tried it on my Dell. Same issue.

My microsoft natural keyboard failed after 3 years. Microsoft sent me a new one imediately without question. I still use that keyboard 9 years later.

I've had a few other keyboards and none of them have ever failed or had stuck buttons.

Mac refuses to even talk to me and there is no Warrentee info on the keyboard on this site or in the box it came in. So, enjoy this peice of.... or throw it in the trash when it shows up.
I would recommend if you want practical and reliable. That you avoid all Mac input devices as a whole...I'm off to write a review for that useless power mouse next.

If you want sleak, cute, and soft on the eyes. This is the keyboard for you. If you want to get some work done. Buy a Microsoft Natural keyboard and get-er-done
