    Great keyboard!

I purchased this keyboard to use with a Windows XP PC. After two weeks of use, my hands and palms haven't felt this great in a long time. In the first few minutes of use, you can really feel your palm muscles relaxing. Yes, it does take some time to get used to typing on this keyboard and there are the occasional hangups when using with a Windows PC, as others have mentioned, but these are insignificant when considering the overarching ergonomic benefits.

    Love This Keyboard

I purchased this keyboard the first week it was in the Apple Store. I have had no issues with is thus far. I am a Web Developer and am always coding something. I do not fumble around like I did with my previous keyboard. In my opinion Apple did a wonderful job on the design and and the placement of the keys.
The only issue i have had in the past was sometime early last year (feb-march 2008) Apple changed the Firmware and I had to rearrange all my hot keys to accommodate the change. That was an annoyance but i got over it and moved on.

    Really nice !

I have this keyboard from October 2008 and its the best I have used.
Its thin, solid, really nice looking.
The keys a low, so typing is kind of a faster.
The only problem is that i cant charge my Iphone from the 2 usb ports in the back, but i can live with it.
The next one probably should be with a changeble height (this one is fixed .. the heigh is good, but probably i want to try it a bit higher) and with a backlight keys.
Keep up the good work :)

    Terribly Disappointing

After struggling with this keyboard for more than a month, I finally gave it up and went back to my old one. I give this one 1 star only because it's cool looking, but it gets no stars for functionality. The space bar is terrible--I spent way too much time going back and correcting space errors. Caps Lock key doesn't work well, either, although it seems more responsive than space bar. I first thought it was user error, but I did everything possible to adapt, and still no improvement. (I have no problem with the keyboard on my new MacBook Pro.) I don't recommend this keyboard to anyone. How it's rated an average of 4 stars is beyond me!

Not very good for actual "typing"...

I use these keyboards with the iMacs we have at school for my typing class. They look great and are super-thin, but the key spacing doesn't really work out for me. That class is suppose to teach us the "proper" way of typing-- with fingers on all specific keys, and things like that. And to be honest, with these kinds of keyboards, I find it very hard to type, and grasp this keyboarding concept. If I type the natural, but improper way, it's okay, but I can definately tell a conventional keyboard is better.

Just something to think about before you buy.

    Sleek and functional

A wonderfully portable keyboard that saves space without compromising functionality. It has all the necessary shortcuts (brightness, show all windows, play/pause forward and back for iTunes). Keys respond very well and feel nice under the fingertips. Don't let their shallowness turn you away. Highly recommended and very useful.

Flipping Sweet, except for one thing....

I've had mine for about a year now. Love it!
It's quiet, easy to keep clean, and sleek.

Only one thing, for some reason, from time to time, whenever I need to capitalize "t" in what I'm typing, Shift + T won't work...

I have not experienced this with any other key, just "t"... very weird. Oh well! If I back up and try again, it works. No biggy! =)

    Beautiful and elegant, but...

The new Apple keyboard is a piece of art for itself, but there is only one flaw in my opinion. You can't use it with your iPod unless you have new aluminum iMac. I am using older version of MacBook Pro, and additional monitor so I have to crouch behind both keyboard and monitor in order to sync an iPod. Apart from that, BEAUTIFUL!
4 of 5 stars only because of the iPod connection!

    Keyboard is unusable.

I could not type on the new flat chiclet keyboard. Some of the keys would not register. Some keys had to be hit just so, or very hard, or nothing would happen. I've never had to go back and retype so many words as I had to on this keyboard. At times I was so frustrated that I feltl like smashing it. I tried to adapt to it for three weeks but couldn't make the transition from the old keyboard. Eventually I switched back to my old plastic e-Mac keyboard and everything is hunky dory now. The new keyboard hangs on my wall as sculpture.

    Great Keyboard.....but

Great, easy to use. Although apple needs to release a wireless full size keyboard (as well as the compact version)

    Great keyboard

    Great Keyboard.

I would give it 5 stars if the USB ports on the side would actually be useful. A mouse is the only thing that can plug into them (so why have 2....)

USB Sticks, iPods (HELLO!!??) or any powered device (camera) dont work there....

Good if you have Fine Motor Difficulties

I got this keyboard with my new iMac and use it with a word prediction program due to me having difficulties with my co-ordination.

I find it easier to type on than my PC keyboard where I was constantly hitting two keys together. As there is a space between each key (around 3mm) and the flatter wider key I find it easier to hit an individual key with more accuracy without needing a keyguard on it too.

I would recommend it to others.

    Best...Keyboard...Ever!

The best part about this keyboard is that the keys are so crispy, and have such a shallow travel distance! It's so refreshing, after using one of those junker keyboards that come from a pc desktop. And I also like that there are two built in usb ports on each side. My MBPs two usb ports were in high demand, and I was going to have to buy one of those usb hubs, but then I got this keyboard which solved the problem.
I would say something that I didn't like about the keyboard, but I honestly can't think of anything. It's just so incredible!

    Great Keyboard!

Great Keyboard! I personally like the wired keyboard, not only its about half the price of the wireless, it also comes with low-profile crisp ( feels great on the fingers ) and a numeric key pad. And it is very comfortable to type with. Wonderful item!

    Incredibe Feel - effortless typing

Sleek, Slim, and smooth key strokes. For the price you can't beat it. WOULD be nice to add back-lit keys for the next model. MUCH different than using older style keyboards - easier on the fingers and typing speed is increased.

    Not Bad

This keyboard is very nice. It seems very well crafted, looks good, and is nice and simple, that much I like. Would have been nice to have an illuminated keyboard but its not the end of the world.

My only issue is the 2 extra USB ports on the keyboard are not powerful enough to run such things as an ipod or an external hard drive. Taking up one of the two powered USB ports on my MBP kind of leaves me running short when multi-tasking. I guess I could just plug in the keyboard after I finish charging the ipod, or put off downloading photos to the hard dive till later.

Apple, if you want my 5 stars you'll have to put higher powered usb's into this keyboard!

    Improvement

I just happened to be using my brother's rather ancient Mac with his new keyboard and it stood out just how much better his keyboard was - more reliable, less noisy, smoother action - than the original keyboard of my more modern machine that misses 1 out of every 100 or less key presses of mine. I think the difference in behaviour has to be quite marked for it to stand out like that.
To type this review I've had to go back and insert missing letters several times.
So that's why I'm here - buying a new keyboard like his! I think it will suit my typing style a lot better than the one I'm using right now.

    Best Keyboard Ever

I've had this keyboard for a few months now and it's brilliant, easy to find the keys and quiet. The style is so much better than the old, which looks dated now.
