    iLike iT

I just bought the keyboard and i have to say i was beyond surprised at how thin it was a very sleek and sexy desgin this keyboard leaves almost nothing to be wanted.

The only cons i could find (and i had to think hard) was 1 it doesnt have any legs to life higher and 2 its energy efficient which means that if you start your PC with a dual boot it doesnt let you choose the parition you want to run.

Otherwise it leaves nothing to be wanted the VERY best keyboard ive used, remember it IS originally designed for mac ergo there are SOME problems (ie the = key on the number pad doesnt do anything the F keys dont do what theyre labeled as) just use it as you would use your regual keyboard

    Very Nice--except

A lovely keyboard with a solid feel especially considering the size. Way different from the Dell I've had for 5 years but I've already started getting used to this keyboard along with my new iMac. The biggest issue is the touch of the space bar. I am getting better at it but I do have to hit it just right--and hit it hard--to get a space between words. I think this will improve as I get used to it.

    Great keyboard. Worth the money.

I got this keyboard to use with my Windows based PC when the factory keyboard died. I was drawn to this one based on the slim appearance, quality construction, and responsive keys. After taking a couple days to get used to it, i'm happy that I spent the extra money for this particular keyboard.

Who knew a keyboard could be so lovely?

MMM..love this new keyboard. I only bought it b/c the original keyboard got ruined. I was not expecting something so pleasing. Typing on it is extremely smooth, especially compared to the old keyboard. The special keys for iTunes/iMovie, dashboard, etc. are very handy. The USB ports are also a very useful considering my Mac only has 3 ports. My hands will not be cramping as much when writing lengthy papers. Apple did a super job!

    Excellent Keyboard

The main reason I bought this was because it was an apple product. And once again I wasn't disappointed at all. The keys resemble that of the macbooks' but they are much more stable. The F1 - F12 keys are also great. They offer features such as dashboard and play, pause, forward, backward and such. The design of it feels very solid. Overall Excellent product. Great job Apple.

    best keyboard in the world

    As you all probably know the design is amazing, the keys are the same chick-let style as the currant macbook and macbook air they feel great under the finger and is comfortable to type on for long periods of time, the multi media keys are a great addition and are extremely useful another good point of the keyboard are the two usb 2.0 ports very handy all in all a fantastic keyboard. i recommend this keyboard to any mac user.;

i agree with other reviewers. you have to push the space bar abnormally hard to get a space. i'm going to swap it out today.

otherwise, i like thefeel of a more laptop style keyboard. and it looks great too.

This keyboard fits for PC just fine (with some remarks)

Well, that's a fine piece of Apple stuff. I like its heavy enough aluminum base and flat buttons that fit my swift typing skills just fine. However there were some issues but they all natured of that I'm a PC user and bought the keyboard for my PC. So there was a problem with Alt and Win buttons swapped and the absence of Print Screen key. Both solved by free software. 4/5 for now, folks, keep up the good work. Hope next time I write a review for MacBook.

Yes the design is nice. But when you must space between words you actually have to hit the space bar pretty hard. A little hard with the typing. Meaning you have to press harder then you you should.

You do not have to use 10.5 to use this!

Do not believe the post that says you have to use the keyboard with 10.5 Leopard. You do need to use 10.4.10 as it states on the web site. There initially was a small software download to enable the special key mapping, but it is all squared away now.

This by far is the best Apple Keyboard ever. It is very light and quiet. The low profile allows you to type more naturally without the need for a wrist wrest. It is crafted into a slab of aluminum that is both sturdy and attractive. It compliments my Power Mac G5 perfectly.

Buy this keyboard and you will not be sorry.

    Excellent Keyboard

I'm in the UK and though I love most of the Orchard tree's works this for me is near outstanding. I say "near" because I haven't tested the USB ports as of yet, but I will.
Love the design and egronomic profile and the quality of it. I've not had any problems with it thus far; even when using it as a gaming keyboard.
    Keep up the good work.

P.S this is my main PC keyboard now.

I am not pleased with the fact that I have to purchase 10.5 for this keyboard to function properly. I am not one to purchase the latest technology. I enjoyed apple products because of their longevity. I should not have to spend $129.00 on a new operating system. When upgrades are made to hardware such as a keyboard, it would be nice if the F11 and F12 did not eject the cd player when they should be adjusting the volume of the audio.

I use MAC OS 10.3.9 and have no need to upgrade at this time. I guess this forces my hand...I have to spend $129.00....NOT GOOD Apple...NOT GOOD.

Great keyboard - even for Windows

I needed a new full sized keyboard for my Windows based PC. I wanted it to be sleek, aestically pleasing, and most of all, I wanted it to have keys similar to those found on laptops. I looked for keyboard after keyboard, and finally found this one. I've never owned a Mac (though I do have an iPhone) but I found that this keyboard was perfect for me. It had everything I needed - no more, no less (except for a few extra function keys, but that's moot.) So I bought it and I couldn't be happier.

I had to do some searching to find drivers to get the extra keys working in Windows, including the Eject key. All you need to do is download the Boot Camp Control Panel software for Windows, and suddenly you will find that all of your extra keys are working! Trust me, this keyboard is fabulous - I couldn't be happier!

    Excellent keyboard, worth the upgrade.

This is a great keyboard for most home users, i had planned to use it along side my older style apple keyboard, but the new one out performs on so many levels that im now buying a second one.

People may have had doubts about the flatness/laptop-like keys, but it is fine to touch type on, and it is easy to distinguish between keys.

Best thing however, is that because of its extremely low profile it feels like its part of my desk, meaning that it hardly puts any strain on my wrists/arms.

Stop eyeing it up and get it bought!!

All touch (I mean pound), no action

LOVE the look, but give me my old key board back..... This is a keyboard that wants to be all touch, but lacks the sensitivity - drops letters everywhere. I would stay with the old deep seated keyboard until they get the action right. We have an office with multiple keyboards that have been replaced with the old style or (worst yet) MS keyboards.

    Mac/Windows/Linux it does it all

First looking at this item online gives you a false sense by pictures, Once you have it you will be astound by the sleek design, capability, and lightweight. This item works well with Mac's PC and Linux.

Now the parts i think that could be better. Back-lit-keys would always be nice. sure it will make the board a bit thicker but it will still have a nice feeling to it with the flat keys. The second thing is it needs a longer USB cored. it comes with a attachment but it would be nice for PC users to have a longer cord.
