    Excellent!

I've used this for a couple of weeks now and I can say it is an absolutely fabulous keyboard. So different than the typical. Wasn't sure I'd like it at first, but it's really great. Very fast typing. Matches my MacBook in feel of the keys.

Downloaded the keyboard update after connecting (just use Software Update and it will find it). All keys seem to work fine except I can't fine numlock for the number pad. Found this problem in the PC ver of Excel working under Parallels--the number pad doesn't type numbers, but I don't know how to turn it on.

I like the dashboard and expose keys on F4 and F3.

USB ports (2 of them) give me a low power error when I hook up my cell phone. Weird since it should be a pass-thru to the MacBook. Microsoft mouse in the other port.

Very pleased overall. Plus, there's the WOW factor when people stop by my desk. Have to lock it up at night, though, to make sure it will be there in the morning!!

    Nice design but...

I really like the slimline design and the keys are easy to use but...why is there no number (hash, gate) symbol key? Any web-designer/developer MUST use the number (hash)symbol when creating stylesheets and many tools like BBEdit don't provide a way of inserting the symbol as they assume you have the key!

Apparently the wireless model has the same problem - so it looks like I will have to get a 3rd party keyboard!

    Don't buy this!

I was a 100% Mac addict until this product hit me. It's beautiful, hip and that was what I fell for until I tried using it. Typing on it feels like running a marathon on tarmac barefoot.

I'm not a keyboard pounder, I would rate myself a light to average finger-weight typist but still l I had to stop using it after less than 10 minutes. That is not a good thing. There's very little cushioning in the keys and even less depth for rebound.

The other problem I found was that it's additional USB ports, though very helpful, did not have enough design height to allow my very average USB memory stick to dock! Not good again.

After three days of trying to live with this beautiful thing, I had to go out and buy another keyboard. Try the Kensington Slimtype keyboard. It's reasonably priced and works well.

This keyboard gets no star from me if this review program allows me to choose this option but I can't post this review if I don't choose a star.

    A good product

I am a new mac user but still i have used the old keyboard, this one to say is very sleek and small, takes less desk space is every thin looks nice. The for ppl who think their caps lock is broken or not functioning properly, u are wrong, its not tht, the cap lock has a function that it doesnt switch on with an accidental press, it used to be so annoying on my pc keyboard and never would have thought someone will every fix this problem with such a simple solution, if u wanna use caps lock just press it for a milli sec more than usual thats it. over all this product is close to perfect.

    Nothing short of brilliant!

What's not to like? It's small, comfortable, beautiful, quiet, and much easier to type quickly and correctly. My former white mac keyboard, at home and office, had an annoying sticking or binding feel...possibly due to the angle at which I strike the keys. Not so with this new keyboard. Aesthetically, it pairs perfectly with both of my white/aluminum iMacs and my Mac Pro and looks like it was specifically built for both. Frankly, I don't like using traditional keyboards now. For a product this good and innovative, it is worth $49.

    Love it!

You can't go wrong with this one. Like going from their old keyboard (yugo) to a Porsche, Very comfortable. If you buy, when you get it you will need to go to system preferences then universal access and turn off mouse keys to get the key pad to work.

One more thing, don't forget to get your software for it by doing an apple update!

    Works on Vista PC

Plug and play compatible w/ PC running Vista Home Premium. Device manager seems to find/install proper driver. Only problem is with the special Apple keys and top row (function keys). Not work when used on PC. Technically astute users may be able to reprogram them. Though, not a big loss IMHO. I never use those function keys anyway.

I've been using it for a couple days now. Must confess that while it looks cooler on my desk than the previous MS keyboard I had, it's a bit harder to type on owing to the shallow depth of the keys.

Will it be coming in black

I am sorry guess, I think it's a great keyboard, I tested it at a friend... but what about estetics. Does apple really belive everybody loves white. I have a Black Macbook, A Syncmaster (black), a Logitec MX revolution (black) and an old black Mac Keyboard. I will buy the new one straight away when it comes out in black.

    Like it

I have a MacBook and the keyboard is very similar to thekeybpard on it. The keys are very easy to type on. The accidental caps lock guard is a nice touch as well. I have the wired one and the usb ports on the side are awesome. Simple. I love it.

    Best Wired Keyboard Ever

I've used lots of keyboards with a variety of computers. This is the easiest to use and most aesthetic keyboard I've had my hands on, except maybe it's wireless cousin. I bought both and have no regrets. In fact they are both extremely pleasing and worth the money.

    Style over substance

Wish I hadn't bought it. 1 week old and already the caps lock is dodgy - and it's the only key that lights up. I can see lots of dirt getting into the keys - gaps too big. Spend more money on practicalities and less on making it shiny. When are you going to make an ergonomic keyboard? What about adding ambient light to the keys? Oh, one other thing, you have to download the keyboard software to make the function keys work and if you have a powerbook like me the volume keys etc.. don't work any more. Great

    great hardware

I have been using macs for well over a decade. I've never owned a better keyboard than this, whether it be apple made or otherwise. This keyboard is built for speed, forget those oldschool type writer-like keyboards that the diehards reminisce about. Once you get used to it, your finger glide over the keys without practically any effort thanks to the slim design

even better than my powerbook g4 keys

Volume keys not working. Here's why

This KeyBoard is very sleek and thought out well. Incase anybody has ready four or 5 reviews down someone is complaining that their volume keys do not work. It is because your mac comes set up with shorts already set on the F12 and F11 key..i think they are show desk top and show dashboard. but all you have to is unset the shortcut keys, and your all set.

    A Pretty Piece of Junk

All these great reviews totally baffled! This is THE WORST KEYBOARD I'VE EVER TYPED ON!

My previous review didn't show up and further testing has revealed that i rated this junk far too highly.

    PROS:
    • An absolutely gorgeous design
    • Simple sturdy aluminum base with little room for gunk to get in

    SUMMARY: Clean and Pretty

    CONS:
    • Cheapo chiclet keys - crud that should be relegated to space constraints of laptops
    • No board contour - a lousy trend in general, made worse by also having flat chiclet keys!
    • Wonky USB ports (as detailed in many reviews)
    • No backlighting - been wishing and hoping
    • Undersized function keys - another stupid trend made worse by having lousy chiclet keys!
    • No real feel or feedback, making it...
    • Easy to miss keys or hit extras, leading to...
    • MY TYPING SPEED HALVED OR POSSIBLY SLOWER!
    • New stupid layout - a fix for what wasn't broken
    • REALLY PATHETIC, STUBBY, FLAT, SQUARE, WIMPY, NO-FEEDBACK, CHICLET KEYS!

    SUMMARY: Unusable!

This thing is strictly for people who've grown up using only cheapo laptop keyboards. A $20 generic would be better for typing.

    Best Keyboard Ever

    Ive, you did it again!

I was never a fan of the last keyboard. It was clunky and cheap. I disliked it so much that I reverted back to an old keyboard that came with my G4 silver door. But this new keyboard works really well! It's so small, but you don't really notice it. The keys have a great tactile response to them and are more like a notebook keyboard AND it gives you a nice return of desk space. I've never felt compelled to write a review here, but this keyboard is just that good! The one thing I don't understand is why you didn't make the corded version wireless as well.

Apple and Ive -- you rock!
