    Awesome keyboard!

Sometimes Apple tries to reinvent things and just mucks them up (ahem, Mighty Mouse). This new keyboard is so slick, so futuristic - I can't say enough good things about it. It makes typing so much faster and there is hardly any noise associated with it. I also like the recessed USB ports. It has a nice solid feel and is heavy enough to sit on the desk and not slide around. There are also little rubber (or silicon) feet that help in this regard as well. Again, kudos for Apple for adding their design prowess to something as mundane as the keyboard.

    Amazing improvement!!

Love the keyboard. Got it with my iPhone rebate and haven't had a better keyboard in my life. It is effortless to type anything from a quick message to a longer passage. Plus, the old keyboards did get a bit more dirty, and were trickier to clean. And much more of a hassle. Now, I don't know how I lived with that thing when I have the new one now!

    Bought it... Love it!

I bought this keyboard to replace the one that came on my iMac. This is the best keyboard I've ever used and I have used many. I would love to purchase one to put on my computer at work!

A Pleasant and Very Thin Surprise

I couldn't believe how thin this keyboard was! Works wonderfully-- allows my fingertips to just glide along with no problem.

Switching from the classic keyboard to this has been interesting, since the keys are flat and softly textured. There are no grooves, so that takes about 30 seconds to get used to.

The bottom and USB port housing is white plastic, and a USB extender is included! Remember to run Software Update after you plug it in!

Coolest and easiest keyboard to date.

Looks Great, just a few things to keep in mind, however

The look is absolutely sexy, to say the least. I love it. The only problem I really have is that the USB ports on the sides of the keyboard are LOW-POWER USB ports, so don't try to connect your iPod or something that requires a lot of power (something that may charge through the USB in addition to connecting to the computer via USB, because it just won't work. You still need to use your external usb hub or usb port on your computer. Also, I am still trying to figure out how to use the buttons on the function keys to control, pause/play, play next track. I tried holding down the function key and pressing it, as well a bunch of other combinations, but I haven't figured it out. I'm sure it's not too complicated, but I thought it would have been easy enough not to do research before using those buttons. Overall, the keyboard is astonishing, and much better than the wireless, in my opinion, because of the # pad and arrow keys on the right which are missing from the wireless.
Thanks Apple for another good job!

    EaSy tO KeEp cLeAn

I invested in this keyboard for my classic white iMAC. It looks nicer on the older ones than it does for the newer. Not to mention its easier to keep clean...the former keyboards got nasty quick. As far as funtionality goes... sadly i can't make a creditable comment. I must admit i bought for aesthetics...but it is ergonomically smoother.

    Like thinking instead of pounding.

At last, actual touch typing instead of the mechanical, half-inch-stroke Whack-A-Key that has been such a burthen when away from our laptops.

    Absolutely Beautiful

As a graphic artist I need to type alot and use key commmands endlessly. This is the fastest and cleanest keyboard to work with. Apple I only have one word for you, Brilliant!

    Great improvement!

This keyboard has a faster, lighter touch, especially when compared to the original plastic version, which always seemed to jam laterally. It's similar feeling to my PowerBook keyboard, which I really like. The one "missing" feature: Apple should have sculpted the keys a bit more. These are flat feeling and my finger tips would like a bit more landing zone. Otherwise, we're very pleased!

    A nice upgrade

I've been using this keyboard for a week now. I previously used the Apple wireless keyboard, and back then I thought it was in a league of its own. But nothing compared to this gem. The keys are so soft that as one reviewer said it correctly that you don't have to 'depress' them, you just need to 'touch' them.

Also, the design ergonomics is so much more comfortable for the wrists and arms than the previous model that you can, in my opinion type away for a longer period of time without feeling tired or giving your arms frequent rests. That is important for those people who do extended typing like myself.

Lastly, I must say that the wireless keyboard was a battery-guzzling machine. no more with this thing.

Overall, I'm very happy with it and i think it's been a good addition to my computer system.

Great keyboard, add backlight and I'll buy another one!

Everything has been said about this beautiful piece of engineering and design. Functional, easy to type on, great for your wrists, top notch. Just one more thing - that woudl make it EVEN better: Add keyboard backlight. I'm not saying that I need it as much as on the Mac Book Pro, but I know some people would almost switch to a Mac because of that alone. I'm in the market for an updated Mac Pro in Spring 2008 - maybe we can have a keyboard with backlight by then too? Thanks for great products, you guys make work more fun!

Great New Keyboard! Apple made a good one!

I got this for my MacBook Pro. It works great. There is a software update which enables all the functions to work so you don't need to use the MBP's keyboard.

All devices that I have tried via USB work with this item. Currently, I have a 1TB external connected through the USB in ther keyboard. Works great!

    J Key Quit Working

I used this keyboard for about 3 weeks and then suddenly the J key quit working. Everything else worked fine.Took the key apart and found nothing. Broke the key putting it back together. Hate mailing low cost items back. So I will go to local store and buy another one. This keyboard is worth $100.00 and not $50.00 anyway as far as I'm concerned. Great job on this keyboard Apple. Except for J key, this board is awesome.

    Awesome Keyboard!!

This keyboard feels great! I bought one of the "old Apple keyboards" because my poor MacBook Pro internal keyboard died (long story) which served it's purpose but never helped me reclaim the mobility I desire.

Enter the new, sleek and sexy aluminum keyboard.
It's really light, very portable, and the keys have a great tactile feedback, and boy is it quiet. Now I can roam about the house without the clunkiness of the old keyboard and have a clean workspace.

It's pretty expensive currently (9/15/07) at $50.00, which may be a turnoff to some but I highly recommend it for it's great design, feel, and mobility.

Sweet... works on my powerbook & old Dell w/win 2000!

    Amazing keyboard!

Does have a learning curve, more like a large laptop type feel, but clean & good... and might be the new standard.

About a 1/2 inch shorter than old Apple wireless/standard keyboard in size.

But keys & spacing not mushed together. And I have large hands.

I bought it... the wired version, because another reviewer said that it would work in windows. I have to keep a Dell 2000 & Toshiba XP going for some work... and this keyboard will be switched out when the wireless version with keypad comes out! It works no problem on Windows 2000 & XP.

I was so sick & tired of cleaning my old open face apple keyboard! And felt guilty using canned air, too try to keep it clean.

    Totally worth it!

Now if Apple will make the same thing wireless... with number-pad (some of us have to play with them daily) I'd buy another one in a second!!!

    Finally A Usable Keyboard!

I had multiple strokes a couple of years back and it has been very difficult to type with a regular keyboard with raised keys. Apple's new slimline keyboard lets me type like I used to be able to. Thanks Apple!
