    Beautifully Ergonomic

Another brilliant marriage of form and function from Apple - I've been using the keyboard for a few days now and I've found the keyboard's ultra-low profile makes it easier to type and less strain on the wrists. My only gripe is there's only one Expose key for three Expose modes.

    Looks great, works even better!

Probably the finest keyboard Apple has ever made - and definitely the best I've ever used. We bought two for the office and they're excellent. Beautifully designed and a joy to work with, they reduce typing errors (thanks to the low profile keys) and have increased our typing speed too. Don't forget, to function at its best, you should download the Keyboard's supporting software from the Apple website!

    It's actually great, buy it.

The old clear keyboard I bought a year ago was a constant frustration and I sincerely hated to type on my Mac ever since I bought it despite how cool it looked. The new keyboard is a complete success. Even the mounting layout of the USB ports to the side makes everthing easier. It's super quiet and easy to type on. The keys are very thin and low-profile, but that's fine. I've had no trouble adjusting and am typing faster because they're so flat. It could stand to be adjustable for tilt, but I'll get by . Now why they can't sell it for $25 I don't know.... Anyway, you need one over that old disaster of a keyboard.

    OMG

By far my favorite mac keyboard in 7 years. The feel of the keys is great and the low profile design is a fantastic idea that works in practice. It doesn't feel flimsy either, very solid. My only complaint is the wireless version has a 4 to 6 week ship!

    Very Nice

I really wish i could give this keyboard five stars. The key strokes are quiet and responsive, the keys are easy to find, and the overall keyboard is gorgeous. The F3 and F4 keys work fine for me, the only reason the board doesn't get five stars is because of the iPod low power warning. I tried everything, plugging it into both sides, having it alone, with a mouse, having my MacBook Pro plugged in and not. Nothing worked. It's not a big deal because i have a monitor with an integrated USB hub, but based on the advertisement for the product, the iPod should work on the keyboard. Hopefully the issue will be resolved with a software update. If the iPod is not an issue for you, definitely buy this keyboard. It makes the transition between a notebook keyboard and an external keyboard very easy.

    Wow!

One of the best, if not the best, keyboard I have ever typed on. It not only looks great but functions way better than the previous Apple Keyboard. The tactile feel is superb and I can type faster and more accurately on this new keyboard. Yet another reason to own and love a Mac. :-)

Great.. Watch out for Cord Length

I love the keyboard.. although I still find it difficult to type on it after using a powerbook for 3 years. I like the functions keys and the sleek design with the hidden USB ports. But the USB Cord it TOO SHORT! I can't reach my keyboard tray from the back of the iMac.. I got cords all over! I can't run it under my desk to my pull out tray (which isn't very far). Maybe a 2 foot cord. If you need any distance, go wireless.

    Not flacid.

Duh, it looks nice. But it has so much more. I have never owned a laptop, but have gone out of my way to get the laptop type keyboards because I like the slim keys. This keyboard has that, but does something that most keyboards of that type don't do, it keeps space between the keys. The definitive, rather than beveled edge to the keys, makes them much easier to find and stay on with your fingers. They also "pop" a lot better and are much more responsive than most slim-key keyboards... hence the title of this review. They are not soft in action by any means. I highly recommend it!

    excellent feel – F3 and F4 don't fully work

I'm extremely picky about keyboards; I disliked the previous Apple Keyboard because the keys tended to be "sticky" and resist keystrokes. I tried the Macally Icekey, but that one felt "hollow" and plastic – keystrokes would resonate through the body of the keyboard and gave a cheap feel. In addition, the keys were loud.

The new Apple Keyboard is just wonderful. The action is very solid; keystrokes resonate in the desk rather than the keyboard, making it feel reliable. The keys are about as quiet as they could be. You won't wake anyone up pounding away on this thing.

It doesn't get 5 stars because the F3 and F4 keys don't work for Expose and Dashboard. You can program different F keys for those functions or hold down the "fn" key while pressing F3 and F4 to use Expose and Dashboard. I hope this will be fixed in a software update soon.

    I'm impressed.

    A good step forward!

Top marks for innovation with this. Its about time someone broke the mold on the standard keyboard.
Some reviews below say there are problems with certain keys not working: You have to download an update using software update before all the dashboard, exposé etc.. buttons work as it is a new layout. It all worked fine after that. Great keyboard!!

    Very Awesome!

This keyboard is the best that I have used in a while! It is so comfortable! It is very much like the MacBook keyboard, which was my favorite untill Apple released this one! It feels very solid and looks wonderful in person! Thanks, Apple!

    Finally!!

The immense difference in my typing is unbelievable. . I can finally type without having to go back every second word and correct what I've written. The ease of the keys is greatly appreciated, cheers Apple!

Looks nice but order the right one.

Still making my mind up. Like any keyboard it probably will take a bit of getting used to. Looks very nice though. USB 2 on the port is nice so I can plug my Shuffle and Elgato turbo.264 in without reaching around the back of my iMac. Both work fine from the keyboard - no low power issues. If you are from the UK order the English keyboard not the English International. I'm so used to English meaning American and English International being for everyone else I ordered the wrong one. I know where my £ key is anyway which seems to be the only difference. Wish they'd call it a British keyboard (sorry Northern Ireland).

    Great keyboard, questionable durablity.

I purchased this keyboard straight away due it's slim good looks, new key design, additional functions and it's USB 2.0 ports that the previous keyboards lacked.

Using the keyboard is great. It is much quicker and easier to use than any other desktop keyboard. The keys are light to the touch and clear to read. The function keys are useful, particularly for itunes.

The first problem I notice is that the USB 2.0 ports do not appear to be able to power any of the USB 2.0 items i tried... low power messages appear.

The main problem with this keyboard is with the laptop (same as the Macbook) type keys. The esc key has already fallen off in my hands. Thankfully there are plenty of F-keys I am not using to swap it with, but quite frankly for a key to fall off without any apparent misused is unacceptable! and I now have a gap on the keyboard where an F-key key use to be, and I now worry when then next key will fall off.

For £29 I think it would be reasonably priced if the keys (the scissor mechanism particularly) were of alot better quality and strength. As it stands it is alot of money for something which falls apart so easily.

Nice Style. No performance problems. Why move volume keys?

I am very pleased with the design of this keyboard. I feel like I can type half again as fast as before. It's much like typing on a laptop. If you're not into that sort of thing, perhaps this is not for you. My only qualm is the decision to move the volume keys. They should have left them on F16-19. I know that makes things difficult for the wireless keyboard, which doesn't even go that high, but still. Occasionally, I like to switch my keyboard over to a Windows machine, and I loved the fact that the volume up, down, and mute buttons worked so well even on another OS. Such is not the case with this keyboard. But hey...not everyone is in the same boat as me. Enjoy!
