    Appalling

I went through 5 of these chargers in just one week. 3 of them broke because of faulty wiring inside the cable and the other 2 broke because the wires have come out of the lightning adapter, simply because the charger doesn't fit in the port properly, making it difficult to unplug. Definitely not happy, and at £15 a charger you'd expect them to be brilliant but they're not. Absolutely shocking.

    Ugh

It was great and flexible at first, but i had it propped up whilst it was charging, therefore bending it. I haven't had my ipad4 for two months before it stopped charging, I had to moveto a differentplug, put it in a position whoch was extremily uncomfortable to hold, the it would have to wait, I then found i had to prop it so the charger wasnt touching any thing, agter ONE day it stopped charging. Not impressed, Apple, please sortthis out

    Highly annoyed

I've had my iPhone for about 2 months now and the usb cable already stopped working. What a surprise..not! This is so annoying considering I haven't even had my phone for very long at all and the usb already stopped working. This definitely makes me question whether or not I'll be getting another iPhone for my next upgrade.

    Junk

I hate how Apple changed the charger. I can't use my iHome anymore. I am on my third charger and after a few hours of use FRESH FROM THE BOX it was breaking. Thanks, Apple.

    Needed Change

You always are going to have to upgrade your hardware, much to the chagrin of people who would rather keep things the way they are. However, this is an excellent design and makes a lot of sense.

    Poor Quality

I wish there was an option to give the lighting cable NO stars. This cable is/was very poorly made. I purchased one cable for home and one for the car/work. I'm down to one cable. The first one stopped working about two months ago. Just like everyone else, there initially was a short. The one currently working started going in and out earlier this week. I don't want to spend more money on the same cable KNOWING it will go out within a few months. Apple needs to figure something out!

    Stopped Working

My iPhone charger that came with my iPhone 5 stopped working within a couple months of buying my iPhone. The charger part nearest the iPhone started scrunching up and the plastic broke. Very low quality compared to my iPhone4 charger.

    Poor durability

Sadly I have purchased some aside from the one which came with my phone; within months, the casing breaks and bare wire can be seen. I have had the traditional cables for many years (as most of us have) and I have yet to break one. I will probably look into alternative makers once my warranty is done. It's very sad since I have always trusted Apple products for durability and quality.

    Not at all robust

I have had to buy a cable to charge my phone three times now as they only work for a short time. I think apple needs to address this as the cable does not seem fit for purpose.

    Too short and broken already

What more to say? I've been using the cable with my iPad mini of less than 3 months and it's no longer working. My sister's also broke after about 6 months. Does ANYONE from Apple read these notes??/

    EASILY DAMAGED AND SHORT

I've purchased TWO lightning cables since my iPhone 5 purchase on Christmas. Both have just broken with the tip of the cable tearing. I feel like this is possibly due to the lack of length for the cable, for if it was a bit longer, there wouldn't have been any tugging. I can barely access my phone while it's charging from my bed. I also couldn't use my phone laying down because the charger would be on the bottom, so I couldn't rest the phone on anything. I'm so disappointed in Apple right now. Their technology is amazing with extremely fast charging, but the charger is simply junk.

    Here is an idea

I have had the same problem with those stupid lightning cables on my daughters IPOD and IPAD. Tried the cheap generic ones, and they do any better. Tried adding shrink tubing, electric tape, etc to make more durable without success.

Now I have another idea. Just ordered the plastic adapter that allows new device to be charged by the old 30 pin connector. I am hoping that the wires inside the rigid adapter will not bend and brake like they do in the flexible lightning cable.

As soon as I get them and try it out, I will let you know if it works.

Cable's Bend and Break TOO Easy

The cable that came with my phone as well as the two additional cables I purchased from the Apple Store have all stopped working. My phone won't even charge anymore. Apple was nice enough to replace the two cords I bought recently through the Apple Store but I have a feeling I will be right back here in two more months to replace these two. Needs some work Apple.

    Horrible cable

We have 3 Ipod touch's(5th gen). The oldest bought at Christmas 2012, one in Feb 2013 and the last in May 2013. All 3 lighting cables stopped working. They all crunched at the lighting connector. So, went out to buy more. Bought 3 Griffin cables because they looked sturdier. Less than one month later 2 of them don't work anymore and they don't show any evidence of cruching they look perfect. So far the 30 pin to lighting adapter that I had to put on my radio dock is still working but I have to take the ipod's out of their cases, Griffen Survivor (3 kids under 12 they are a necessity) but the adapter does not work when the case is on. I had my 4th generation Ipod for almost a year and never had a problem with the 30 pin cable. I am sorry I bought the 5th generations. Should have kept the 4th. Was going to get the Iphone but I will make sure I get an old model.

    Very poor quality.

Broke within the first two months. Not nearly as durable as the iPhone 4 cable which I have had for going on two years with out any problems. Not up to normal apple standards.

    Wire durability

I've had my Ipod for around 4-6 months (not too sure) and for the past week or so this cable has been failing me. I charge my Ipod when I go to bed and keep waking up with it half charged, I noticed that it's towards the top of the cable near the connection to the ipod, just where the wire starts after the adapter that there's a small hole and the coating of the cable is all bunched up, I'm guessing one of the wires broke and it's pierced through the cover or something, pretty disappointed since I've only had it for the best part of half a year, and I don't particularly feel like forking over £15 to get it replaced, especially if this is a reoccurring thing.

    Not happy, Apple!

Apple needs to sort out this issue!

Keep buying new cables, which all work fine at first and then will stop unless held at a dodgy angle. Complete waste of money. Totally regretting getting the new ipod touch purely for the awful cables...

Expensive investment when it doesn't work!

In the last year I have purchased 5 different cables now and each one has stopped working soon after I purchased it. One only worked for less than a week and the cable that lasted the longest only lasted 3 months. The cables are not cheap in the first place, but it makes it worse when they don't even last a few months! Very disappointing considering it is an Apple product! Please provide a cable that is high quality!
