    Another one BROKEN!

These Lightning cables are useless, keep breaking, really poor quality (considering the price) , stupid design. With something so fragile Apple really need to design a sturdier product.

    Worst invention ever going backwards

lightning cables broke only 5months in everytime i connect to macbook it says its drawing too much power, no wear and tear on the cable what so ever but when i took it into apple store they said i'd damaged it, how did he come up with that judgement when he clearly cannot see no damage and then had the cheek to tell me to buy another one for £15. very disappointed with apple, they make you pay ridiculous prices for their product you'd think they would have the decency to look after their customers after ripping them off. i would give you no stars if i could, im done defending apple products to android users. very poor

    1 MONTH 2 CABLES

Why oh why did they change from the 30 pin?? I used the same cable for 5 years and it was perfect! Both my son and I got the Iphone 5 in April this year, both plug the cable into the mac to charge, it doesn't move, we arent rough with it both cables have broken. We are now using the adapter (another rip off) with our zephlin speaker absolutely ridiculous. I love apple products but unimpressed with the lightning charge system

    APPALLING!!!!

ITS SIMPLY RIDICULOUS. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH 6 OF THESE THE FIRST CABLE LASTED ABOUT A MONTH. NOW EVERY 3-4 WEEKS I AM BUYING A NEW CABLE AND TO THINK THESE ARE £15+ AND THEY ONLY LAST A MONTH. MY IPHONE 4 CHARGER CABLE LASTED ME 2 YEARS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS!!!
I AM DISGUSTED THAT APPLE WOULD MAKE SUCH A UNRELIABLE CABLE CONSIDERING THE PRICES THEY CHARGE

    Ipod USB charging cable

My opinion of the current ipod charging cord is a load of garbage, I have had to buy 3 of these charging cords because of there poor (very poor) quality never have I ever had these quality issues with any charger I've ever bought. The first problem is that after long use the end of the cord ( the part of the cord that is attached to the pin connector) bulges and after a month starts to split and tear, now don't get me wrong I love apple it's my favourite electronics company but I would really really really appreciate it if apple took some time and tried to not make there charging cords out of materials that only last less than a month and another thing they are pretty expensive to so every time one breaks I have to buy a new one and it becomes a repeated process of rebuying cords and I'd rather be investing my money into my gameboy collection but no I have to spend hundreds of dollars a year on ipod charging cords oh and by the way I typed this entire review/rant on my ipod 5th gen. Ps apple one suggestion for the 6th gen ipod is to have the apple symbol on the back light up when the ipod is on.

DONT EVER GET ANYTHING THAT NEEDS THIS CORD

I had one that came with my device that broke in like a month and when i bought another one, it barely lasted like 4 days!!!! Im really fed up with apple right now, they should consider reinventing the cord and giving everyone free ones because this isnt fair for everyone to waste money like this. Im probably about to go buy yet another 20 dollar cord but if this one breaks, I might just go buy one of the older models so I dont have to deal with this stupid charger!!!

    Very poorly designed product

I bought two iPads for my teenagers at Christmas, these wires are the worst thing ever, like everyone else, wires are flimsy and loose connection inside no matter how careful you, we are onto 4th wire each, ridiculous, I have previous iPad with wider charger n no problem at all. Best of it is I ordered the previous ipad version but apple ran out of stock in nov and upgraded me the new version... wish they hadn't bothered!! Costing me a fortune in replacement wires!!

    Terrible

I purchased the iPhone 5 about 6 months ago. Within a month the lightning cord broke and would not charge. I went to get another at the store and again it broke within 2 months. For anyone looking to purchase a new lightning cord: buy the Belkin brand. It is much more durable.

    Tooo short!

Cable is too short!!! And the material is cheap! I use my iPhone at the same time I'm charging it and over time the skin starts tearing apart and now the cable is loose and can't charge my iPhone without moving it around! Waste of money! Apple needs to come up with a longer cable because the outlets are a feet above the floor and a more durable and flexible cable that won't tear!!! Thank you. But I still love apple. The best electronic company to ever exist and will ever exist!

    AWFUL cord!!

I hate this cord! My sister and I both got new iPod 5th gens for Christmas and our cords are breaking at the end you plug into the wall charger (not the end that goes into that actual iPod). Apple's $20.00 cord should NOT break so easily. I'm not looking forward to having to replace it but what else can I do?! I'm so mad!! I never had this happen with my standard Apple USB cords from older generation iPods.

    Bad Cable, Love the Phone

I have two iPhone 5's and the charging cable broke on both within two weeks of each other. I just called my service provider where the phones were purchased and after 30 minutes of back and forth they decided to replace the cables as a one time courtesy only after they told me this damage was caused by my miss use of the cable. This is just a poor design to have the cable attach to the bottom of the phone. I know we all use our phones way too much these days and I bet most of us are guilty of having our phones charging and lying down resting the phone/cable on your stomach or chest bending the cord. I think that is why they are becoming damaged. Until Apple moves this power port to the top or side this will continue to be an issue regardless of the cable used. Poor, poor, poor design Apple. Oh, one other note - it appears Apple or the service providers are aware there is any problems with the cable. My complaint was the first they had heard of....really???? Apple, take a close look at this thread, YOU HAVE AN ISSUE!!!

I´ve had 4 of these so far and the longest one worked was 1 month. Most of them were already broken after one or two weeks. DO NOT BUY!

    Rubbish

Basically expect to get 2-3 months out of them before they break ...no matter how carefully you extract the lead from the phone after charging .

    Worst charger of all time

I've had my phone for less than 4 months and I've gone through 10 of these. My ear buds volume broke too. These new accessories for the 5 are garbage. Why did I get this phone? All the chargers are made with plastic that separates from the wires and the fragile wires break under any pressure. Please apple, fix these horrible things.

    HORRIBLE

I have had my ipod 5 for about 6 months and today when I was in desperate need of a charge, my charger decided to stop working. This is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. Apple please go back to the old charger because this charger is a cheap piece of rubber and copper that is extremely infuriating.

    Broken cable.

After reading reviews here it seems I am suffering the same issue as many others- my cable has simply stopped working. At first I could wiggle the cable, push it and it may charge of a minute or two while balancing it in position, but now I have nothing at all.
I have had the same 30 pin charger for two years and never had any problem so I don't understand what could be going wrong!
I will try to call Apple in an attempt to receive some help with the problem, yet I am not hopeful as I am unsure whether such accessories are covers under warranty.
