charger and adapter for iphone 5 garbage

when is this issue going to be fixed? I am about ready to get rid of this phone. All the hype and the battery dies 2 times a day and the charger doesn't last. I am on my 4th one and now have the adapter after 2 weeks guess what it doesn't work either. The charger still does and charges my ipod.
should be no stars... I got this because my friends with the Iphone 4S had none of these issues and still don't. I told them all not to upgrade until this is fixed.

cable not working after 2 months

Same problem as previous reviews - this cable is not fit for use. It's sat on my office desk for the past two months (so light use) and now it won't work - the connection at the phone end is dodgy - it started to intermittantly charge, now nothing.

    Rubbish.

As I've seen from the other reviews, I'm not the only one where the cable just appears to stop working. This needs to be fixed.
I'm also fed up of buying multiple cables.

    works... then breaks

had a cable for a couple of weeks and the stops working just like every apple cable ive had, they are worthless yet have to buy £15 one because the cheap versions are even worse. fix this apple can make the ultimate phone yet struggle to have a cable the can survive a few weeks.

    Unacceptable

Had the new iPod and cable since Christmas and its charged at least once a day. For the past week I've had to hold it at a certain angle in order to charge and now it's just stopped working. The 30-pin I got 5 years ago still works perfectly. As its an Apple product you expect more then this, clearly happening to everyone. Sort it out apple, or you'll lose customers,

    GARBAGE

I decided to buy my children apple products for Christmas. Since then, I have replaced their lightning chargers 8 times now. The chargers are terrible. Knock off chargers are worse. I refuse to buy any more chargers and their ipads are worthless. Apple you have greatly disappointed me.

My cable has lasted 2 months and it has stopped working. Fed up buying a new one at £15 a go. It's getting beyond a joke

    FIX IT

These cables are absolute garbage. They are prone to excessive breaking while (clearly) they are not too cheap to buy. You make them $5 or $10 and I'll shut my mouth. Until then, fix the gosh darn issues. Only rated it a star because I had to in order to submit (it deserves none).

    Useless

Worked for about 3 months, and eventually crinkled and broke. The cable barely left my computer port, and wasn't treated roughly at all - other reviews seem to support this a bad product. Sort it out Apple!

    Horrible

Stops working after a few weeks of being in my car. I've been through three of these and apple wont replace them because they claim they where water damaged but they have never seen water it must be the moisture in the air but if the moisture in the air can corrode this cable and render it unusable well then there is obviously a problem

    Horrible!!

This charger breaks VERY easily!! Does not last me more than 2 months! I have bought SEVERAL from the apple store and none last long! iPhone 4 chargers were WAY better!!!!

    cheap

Like other recent apple chargers this one wears very quickly. I haven't had it for a year (as the phone and thus charger hasn't been around too long) and it's already wearing down. It started becoming difficult to charge within a couple of months. I eventually had to begin placing my phone at weird angles in order for it to charge and then it stopped working despite my best efforts. Both my mother and I have had to buy new ones because of this problem. Apple should create a charger that lasts as long as the phone.

    Charging problems

I love my iPhone 5. Hands down, best phone I have ever owned. The only thing that I cannot stand about the phone itself is the charging cable. Yeah the USB 3 is all great and it charges at a ridiculously fast rate. BUT being that I have only had my phone for six months, I would have expected better quality from the charger itself. Here is why.

The length is a tad short. But I can live with it.
With the new adapter, the charger was bound to have issues. the only way that my phone can charge now is if the chord is bent a certain way. Not only does it need to be bent sharply downward, but the kink in the chord appears to be on the verge of causing electrical vulnerability and potentially create a dangerous situation.

I will be ordering a new chord, but only to the fact that I hope that I do not have the same experience with this last chord. Should I experience it, I will be looking at other options for charging my iPhone.

    This is ridiculous.

Absolutely terrible quality. You would think that this $20 Apple product would last long or at least be more durable.

    ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!

I'm on my 4th cable which will inevitably break.

Over expensive, mass produced awful quality. Not impressed.

    Ok but.........

Surprised at most comments as had my iPad since xmas and have charged it most days and cable works perfectly. But...... Agree that the cable is much too short. Would like Apple to explain why they could not make it at least 1 1/2 metres or introduce a 2 metre version. Is it because it might affect the charging capabilities.

    Quality cable

I have tested this cable extensively, and find it to be a significant improvement from the previous cable; which was also of excellent quality. Specifically, there are no issues with frayed wire or damaged insulation even under strenuous conditions, and no issues of reliability with either the lightning connector or the USB connector. I outright challenge the comments on here to be fictitious and outright defamation. In addition, apple does replace faulty cables under warranty, so there is at a minimum, clearly abundant ignorance of Apple's policies.
