    Terrible

I've had the iphone 5 for three months and the lightning end of the cord is already worn and has to be in the right position to charge.

    HORRIBLE.

My charger keeps breaking no matter how careful I am with it! currently have a dead phone on my hands because I have to wait till the store opens tomorrow to go get my 3rd charger for the iPhone 5. VERY frustrating especially when your waiting for an important call. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the lack of durability of this charger! its ridiculous that I have to keep spending money to buy new ones!

    Useless

I have had 4 of these in the past month and have had the same problem with each. They work fine until i suspect a wire comes loose in the top of the cable (where it enters the device), then it will only work when it is pulled or pushed into certain directions, until eventually it will not work at all. Im sick of wasting money on these cablels. A new cable must be brought out.

    horrid

I have gone through 6 cables. They are cheaply made and short. I almost wish I would've stayed with the iphone4. At least the cables were durable.

    Disappointed

I bought the phone in December and I lay in bed and might browse for a few minutes and then set it down to charge. The cord started to bunch near the lightning end of it and in turn developed a hole. When I paid 220 dollars for the phone I expected something slightly more durable.

    I love this

I love this new cable and connection. It is so easy to attach to your device, no fiddling around as you have to do with the huge 30 pin connector. I love that it is also right whichever way you plug it in, meaning that you don't have to turn it over if it's not fitting right the first time. I've had no problem what so ever with charging my devices. As I said my main love of the connector is how sturdy it is and how easy it is to use. I love it.

    Broken Already

Purchased my iPhone 5 in October and I need a new charging cord already. I had my previous cord for ages on my 3Gs. Not a happy camper since my phone didn't charge last night. I'm saddened because I usually love apple products....but not this cord! Guess I'll be at the store today buying a new one :-(.

USB end gets stuck in my netbook

Extremely (!) difficult to remove the USB end from my Toshiba netbook.

And the cable could be a bit longer.

    Lightening Cable

I have had 3 of these go in the last 2 weeks. They are absolutely terrible. I always ensure I pull it using the plug not the cable and then I find I have to plug in and out a few times and no the end is nigh!!! week or so later stops working all together. Was going to say appalling quality but feels wrong using the word quality in the same sentence! Sort it out apple!

Forced to give one star that highly over rates it!

    horrible

ive had this for just over 3 months and the cable near the lightning end is all scrunched up and now it won't charge my phone unless i spend 5 minutes maneuvering the phone into a specific position so that it will charge and then i can't even touch it otherwise it will disconnect. i like the idea of the lightning over the 30 pin, but in terms of quality and implementation, i am very disappointed by this piece of s product i received.

    impressed i am not

this cable, when you first get it works amazingly. no doubt it definitely charges at lightning speed. However, after a few weeks, the cable around the pin end begins to weaken, crimple and twist, begins to only charge when you hold it at a certain angle then eventually stops charging altogether. I've had this problem twice in the space of 4 months, extremely annoying. the first time i returned it to apple who exchanged it for free but advised me that i should leave it to charge on a flat surface so the cable remains straight, as they would not be able to keep replacing it. i ensured i was extra careful the second time but yet the same problem ensued.

i had the charger for my iphone4 for a year and its still going strong, no problems whatsoever. Seems they've changed the cable in favour of cheaper construction and materials at the expense of their customers. i may purchase the converter head instead to prevent long-term expense of continuosly purchasing cables.

    iphone 5 charger breaks easily

My daughter got the new iPhone 5 for Christmas (just 2 months ago) and we are on cord #4! They are cheaply made in comparison to the old chargers for all my other Apple products. I think they are extremely expensive and poorly made. Come one Apple. I expect more from your company!

    Poorly made charger...

We bought the Ipod 5 for my teen aged daughter for Christmas. She loves it. But she has not been able to charge her Ipod 5 for a few days now because the small end of the charger broke. She is only allowed to use it at home, never outside and when it's charging it's charging in one place. The fact that it's been plugged in and out of the device wears it out this quickly is a bummer. For the product itself I would give more stars, but not the accessory. Should be covered by the warranty :-)

    Worse Cable Ever

This cable is horrible. I have ordered 4 and one by one all of them break. I bought the iPhone 5 because I love apple products and the design of the phone was great. But the fact that apple ruins it by making such a poor cable instead of adapting to the micro usb world is pathetic.

    breaks easily

The lightning end of the cable is flimsy. I have already had one replaced and, now, less than two weeks after receiving the replacement, the new one already has a kink in the tubing... i wish there was some way to reinforce that end to prevent it from breaking...
