Maybe they should focus on the cable now

These cables are horrible quality.. Everyone I buy breaks and I am honestly thinking about getting a new phone that has a decent charger. Maybe you should worry about the cable instead of the size of our phones because all of them break. I had 3 brake for my iPhone 4, and I just got my phone in the summer and my iPhone 5s cable is already broken.

    Should be "0" stars!!!

COME ON! surely as much as you pay for apple brand items they should be made to last!! Horribly made, we are a family of 5 & all have iphone 5's every charger that came with our phones broke!! Not sure if I will be buying anymore iPhones for this reason.....
Must have inside people who left those 5 star reviews. :(

I spent 30$+ for this thing. I haven't even had my iPhone for a year and I've invested in two chargers. I've babied this charger and its already stopped working. yall need to stop making these new phones the bend in half and start making a good quality charger to actually use the expensive things!!!!

Easy-to-use than the 30 pin cable

Even in the dark, it is easy to charge my iphone 5s. However, it is also easy to be broken.

Wish I could give LESS then 1 star

Here we go again, yet another charger cable needed always failing at the pin. Honestly you guys are supposed to be technical wizards. May I make a suggestion and tell you to see how a nurse inserts an IV and then loops and secures it so that the patient doesn't rip it out of their arm by mistake. Not foolproof if they want it out but works for a compliant patient. The loop prevents the IV from bending and cutting off the flow, in case of a charger it would stop it braking the casing and wiring. So from a non techie SHAME ON YOU UP YOUR GAME. So many house fires have been caused by people buying cheap non Apple chargers well I understand I am retired on a pension, but also disabled and can't afford to keep buying replacements. If you can design phones, computers and software and I can put back together a human body weighing the scales you should be able to make a lead that doesn't fail constantly. Or is it the revenue? Oh of course it is! I hope this helps others i am looking at a docking station or wifi mat. My score ZERO.

    So far, I am impressed.

Just got the this 2M cable and I am initially impressed. My cable that came originally just fell apart at the phone connection. Too much pulling on the cable as oppose to pulling on the adapter.
    What I like?
Thickness. The 2M feels thicker. Length. The 2M is longer.
It is a "man's" cable if that makes any sense. Charges just as fast as the shorter cable, at least with respect to the iPhone.
Plus, delivery was 2 days as promised!
So before you buy it, make sure at least these two properties or differences you want. Otherwise, don't order this one, go get the shorter/thin one.

    Very poor quality

The cable is already splitting at the lightning connecting end after only a few months. Very, very poor quality. And a very high price. Expected much better, that's why I bought Apple, and at the price it should be a top quality, reliable cable. Unfortunately it's not. Not recommended at all.

The cord is poor quality. It stopped working on me and I have to buy another one. I don't think I will be buying one from apple since after reading the reviews I'm eventually going to buy another one down the line. No thanks.

    Cord #26 and counting

The length of this cord is far better than what is in the box with the product. It is somewhat ridiculous that the cord just stops working. With 8 family members worth of phones and devices it gets expensive to replace all of the cords multiple times. I just found out that if I take my apple cord to an apple store they will replace it- no charge. I wish I knew this 25 cords ago... Unfortunately the closest apple store is 45 minutes away. What an inconvenience when you're in panic mode because your phone is about to die and no cord is working.

    Rubbish quality!

These cables are rubbish quality they break after a few months of use. I always hear reasons like its being moved around too much or you shouldn't scrunch it up, its a phone charger it needs to be moved around and put in bags etc.
I haven't given one star because on the plus side I went to the apple store and they replaced the cable for free when it broke.

Why wont they make this standard size?!

I love my 6ft cord. It allows me to roll around in bed, phone in hand, without having to worry about accidentally unplugging my charger. This cord is life changing. Lol Kidding. Sort of. Due to the length of the cord it does tend to bend and gather up at the ends of the charger, but its okay. It's covered by Apple's amazing 1 year warranty. Just make sure to keep your receipt and they should exchange it with no extra charge.

    1 star? Nope.

I'm honestly dumbfounded by the amount of 1 star reviews on this. The 2m cable that arrived is thicker than the stock cable that came with my iphone 3G through to iphone 6 plus. None of the supplied cables have broken.

Ordered on a monday arvo and it arrived the next morning, great recyclable packaging and I like that it comes smoothly rolled instead of how they're rolled up with the phones!

    Poor quality

I have had two of the cables go bad. The wiring is of poor quality and they are not cheap to replace. I expected more from Apple. Very disappointed.

    Great Profit Centre For Apple

As most reviewers state the cable doesn't last any longer than a few months before it starts splitting at the Lightning conductor end which means you constantly have to replace them. Great business for Apple at £25 a pop not so great for Apple's loyal customers we have 5 Apple devises that need this type of cable so you can do the Math. Apple this product needs improving full stop.

    USB cable

This product consistantly goes bad, to the point I will no longer buy apple products. I call it the weakest link of all apple products such as ipads, iphone and laptops.

    Very dissapointed.

I'm very disappointed with this product. I have had an issue with the plastic cable wrap tearing away near the lightning port of the cable. The same thing happened to my second cable in the same spot. This is definitely an issue. Not Apple quality..

Very unhappy, due to the danger this cord could have caused…

While owning this (original) cord a little over a year with gentle use, it has turned out to die with the attempt at going out with a bang. It was being used to charge the iPad with retina display, and what happened was it began to literally smoke at one end closest to the USB adapter, and nearly caught fire, forcing me to have to yank it out of the socket before we had a more serious problem on our hands. Surely, Apple, you have done better at making better cords, and this issue needs to be resolved, quickly…since it can clearly be a safety hazard. I will be on the hunt for a second cord, meanwhile…Apple has some fixing to do to improve the quality of their cords so that their devices are user worthy such as to compliment their user friendliness.
