    Worst Apple product EVER

    This is a TERRIBLE product, already bought 3 cables and all broke, They should FIRED the person who approved this.

    I'm on my 10th cord in less than a year. The pin area breaks no matter how careful you are. Why is it taking so long for Apple to address this now expensive issue?

    Junk - Very bad product - poor for Apple's brand

    We have had to purchase three of these cables within a year. They break easy and are basically junk. This is very bad for Apple's brand to sell such poor, low quality USB cables.

    Worst cable ever

    I have purchased 6 of these junk cables and now I need to order more. My wife breaks one a month just using her Ipad mini! Cheaply made but expensive to buy. A poor design that Apple doesn't repair or stand behind. They all break right at the mini end. You might as well buy $2.99 cables from the internet. They will break but so does Apples.

    Poor quality and design

    I have replaced my USB cable at least three times. The quality of the cable is extremley poor. Even with proper care, they still break. Is someone going to reevaluate the design of this cable?

    Apple cords break 2 easy

    I paid $1000 for the iPad Air and I have paid a lot of money for every iphone that has come out. I don't understand why Apple will not listen to the customers about the quality of these cords! They know u have to have them and. U will end up buying them. For $1000 ipad Air I should have gotten a 10' Cable. I am loyal to apple I have bought 2008 MBP , 2013 MBPR, 2009 iMac , 2013 iMac , 17" MBP 10 iPhones many printers several apple TV's several Airport time capsules and airport extremes many accessories well over $15,000.00 . I expect these ipad and iphone cords to be as good as the computer and laptop cords. 3rd party cords won't fit with 3rd party cases like the life proof case u have to use apple only!

    I don't know how many chargers I have bought for my iphone5, connectors, every color, I have bought them from apple and from other different stores. They all break after a couple of days. This iPhone 5 has cost me sooo much , nothing like the 4s. The charger was so good that I still have it and it works perfectly fine, too bad I got rid of my 4s BIG MISTAKE. Why doesn't Apple do something about it? This is ridiculous.

    Thinker than the .5 M

    I like this 2 M cord better than the .5 M because it is thicker and feels like it will be much more durable.

    Apple is making it so that third party plugs are unable to comply with their products. I recently just bought a nice 6 foot cord (same length as this one) from Amazon and it has been working for 2 months but is now starting to give me trouble. My sisters only lasted a couple of weeks before it stopped working and I fear mine's days are numbered. Producers have even started to send out disclaimers and recalls. Either way the safe bet is just to buy straight from apple as eventually it will be unavoidable. Also I love having the longer cord, it really makes life easier.

    Cable is junk

    Ive had my iphone 5s and its charger for about 4 months and I cant believe it does not work anymore! very upset with the quality of chargers overall, family members with androids have never complained about their chargers not working! Im truly upset!

    Ha!!! No need to even utilize the 300 word count! A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Apple should be ashamed! This is my 3rd cord in only 3 months. APPLE YOU GUYS REALLY NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE AND COMPENSATE THE CUSTOMERS! Very unhappy :(

    I had my iphone 4 before i upgraded to the 5 this year, 3 years on my iPhone 4 charger still works! (i use it for my ipad) this is my third lead in 6 months, the price you pay for iphones you think they could make a charger that lasts longer than 2 months with all that technology!

    Solution to Lightning cable not working problem

    I came across another review that provided a solution to the apparent cable problem. I have replaced 3 cables but it is not the cable that is faulty. I later found that lint had accumulated in the lightening port. I turned the iphone off and carefully removed the lint with a toothpick (at first glance no lint could be seen in the port). A considerable amount a lint came out.

    After that the cable noticably went in further and the phone charged perfectly. All the cables I've purchased will now work with the phone.

    Fundamental design Fault, would give it 0 stars if I could.

    These cables to fit the new lightning connector have a serious problem with breakage. I have tried Apples own brand at great expense and pretty much every other makers too. There is no link between the amount you spend and how long they last at all. Average life span is four to six weeks and they always fail in the same place. Where the flexible wire enters into the lightning connector, it is too thin and too flexible and the wires inside just break. It needs a sturdy protector here, similar to the 30 pin connector they used to use. I still have my original one of these 30 pin connectors 5 years on. It is a huge dissapointment to me and to all Apple fans that this issue hasn't sorted out after so many poor reviews and complaints. Someone should have lost their job over this. I can only vote with my wallet so will not buy any more products with this cable on it until it is sorted. If Apple wants some help with designing a new one they just need to actually read these reviews.

    $30+ for a cable w/o the adapter. That's right, a cable.

    This is more of a gripe with the design of the lightning cable. This may not happen to everyone, but the connecting part of the cable to your iPad Air or device is quite fragile. So when you have to resort to the very SHORT cable that came with your device (my iPad Air came with an extremely short lightning cable), you risk having that connection part of bending and possibly worse: snapping.

    We all know that Apple's pricing is quite high. In fact, I thought it was pretty outrageous to dish out another $100 for 16 more gigs of disk space for my iPad Air, but $30 for a cable? That's just as bad as dishing out $40 for a flap cover (aka: Smart Cover). So granted, this 2 meter lightning cable should have come as standard with my iPad Air, but it isn't. Since the original cable that came with it already snapped, I had to buy this one. And guess what? No data or charge can run through it. I ended up having a defective cable and had to go back to my local Apple Store, wait for almost an hour, just to get another one. Horrible.

    Stops working easily

    First it stopped working on one side now both sides stopped working. Guess I'm forced to buy another one.
