    Short Life Span

I like the longer length of this cable. I used this cable very gently and yet it has lasted only a few months. This is the second one that has broken so quickly and I would not recommend buying another.

    Perfect lenght and good quality

I don't get all those bad reviews - I got mine a couple days ago and I love it. If it breaks and it doesn't show a big damage just go to an Apple Store and the will try to exchange it for you

You don't always get what you pay for

I love the length of this cable, but the quality is horrible! I still have to buy a new one at least once a year. They always end up bending near the part that connects to the phone. If the lightning connector part was at a 90-degree angle, then this cable might actually be worth $30. The only pro is that I'm not constantly pulling the charger out of the wall on accident.

When i got my apple watch and it came with a really long charger, i looked up if apple made one for the iPhone yet and sure enough they did!! ordered two immediately! love them despite the price. Highly recommend. i've spent countless dollars on 3rd party long cords and they'd only fail after a few months. these apple chargers are durable and high quality just like every other apple product.

    Lost Customer

My battery life isn't getting me through the day. I wake up and find that phone didn't charge throughout the night (Apple cable or otherwise). It's just sad. I have an imac, MacBook, two iphones, and an ipad; and this is what it comes to. Hitting me with $50 for a cable and dock - let alone one that likely won't last. I will be listing my primary iphone today and picking up a Nexus before the end of the week. Apple, if you can hear me, I want a free cable in my mailbox before the phone sells. You have my updated address. Otherwise, you're loosing an influential customer, my network, my b2b lines, my reviews, and my loyalty. Thank you.

    Breaks to easily

I always find that I have to get new cables because they break so often and get really bad lumps at the ends of the cable.

Shorter lifespan than a fly (being dramatic)

Apple you make great products it's incredible. But how you cant manage to make a decent chord is what I don't understand. I noticed when I woke up one morning for school my phone was at 20% despite being plugged in the whole night. It's a good thing I have a portable charger or else I would've been carrying a dead phone with me all day. The plastic always bunches up at the lightning part and the usb part. Obviously for the safety of my phones battery, I will continue using your chargers. But I just wanna let you know 30$ for a terrible chord infuriates your customers.

Are too weak at the connector to the phone and/or iPad. Constantly breaks, tears, frays and shorts out. Tried other sturdier chorus. But do not access apple products correctly. please make a stronger chord. For a $30 chord, it should last longer and be sturdier that 3 months use.

    Terrible Quality

I've gone through so many of these cables; none of them last more than a few months before they start to bunch up near the connector and then split open. Then, even with electrical tape, they start to falter a few weeks later, charging poorly and slowly until you just give up and throw it away. Haven't had much luck with 3rd party cables lately, either, but I'll buy another 3rd party cable before I spend $20-$30 on an Apple cable. The cables of the Classic iPod were made of a far more durable material and lasted forever. These ones just show such a lack of consideration for consumers.

Short Life Span Under Normal Use

I routinely charge my iPhone and iPad with the provided Lightening cables. None have lasted over a year. I had to throw away four Lightening cables in the past 24 months because they short out! The cable will FAIL after you notice a "roll" appear on the cable near the Lightening end. This is a poor design and could possibly lead to a fire. Apple you owe me four replacements. You owe your customers a redesign.

I would not recommend this product because the quality is too poor. You will be lucky to last a month with the cable. Buy a 3rd party cable that is durable and MFI. U would expect better from apple but all they want is your money.

    Soooo very frustrated

I fell in love back during the second generation iPod, so I stood by Apple products and shared my joy with anyone I know, BUT in the last several years, I have been soooo disappointed. It started with the cable, it started to fray and then sto working all together, then, my iPad Air started acting crazy and I had to get it replaced, not by a new product that I had purchased a few months earlier, but to get a refurbished item, that isn't right. THEN...again with the rubbish cable, fraying and acting up...again, less than a year. This is getting ridiculous. I don't mind paying for quality IF I get quality. You gotta do something to make loyal customers whole again. We pay a lot of money for these products, we deserve better.

    A cable that just works.

I love the 2m (almost 10') of this cable. That extra few feet make all the difference from the std 1m/3f cables. I can plug in with the freedom to not have to camp next to an outlet just to get a charge. One sells me on the Apple cables, thought the price is high for it, it is RELIABLE lightning connectors. I've tried being the after market brand cables, and I don't know what is so hard about manufacturing the ends, but the they fail quickly. The Apple cables are the only ones that keep working. Back with the 30-pin connector I could see more going wrong, but with the lighting connector it's a solid piece w/ contact strips, no pins/springs. Maybe the 3rd party cables use cheap/thin metal coatings. Stick with Apple. Though I do wish they'd offer a cloth/no-kink version also.

    Horrible Quality

I use nearly every product Apple sells and have been a core Apple fanatic for years. But the quality of this cable absolutely astounds me. That this could even come from Apple, having been tested, blows my mind. You can now buy 3 Amazon Apple-Certified charging cables for less than the price of 1 Apple cable also. C'mon Apple.

High Price & Low Quality (Seriously Apple?)

I love Apple products for their sleek design and craftsmanship. The cables have always been the failing from this company. Premium price for a low quality cord seems to fly in the face of what they stand for. Jony, can ya get on this please?

    Dear Apple,
please make your lightning cables more durable, i had to buy 3 cables because they snapped. This wasn't the case with the 30 pin cable. APPLE WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR QUALITY ?!?!?

    Hate this cable!

I hate that you can't tell what direction goes in without looking at the tiny little logo. And I hate how ithe cord wears out where it connects to the iPad. I REALLY hate this cord!!! Cheap! Apple needs to figure out a better cord. They did it for the new iPhones but I don't want to buy a new iPad if that is their plan. I want it for my old iPad2!
