    Works Perfectly

Have two of the adapters and one of the cable version. All work perfectly including my parrot car kit (allowing full functionality) which says it is no longer compatible with newer iPhones

    Works Great!

I have a generation 6 iPod Touch which this works great for! It does what it's supposed to! However, there is a slight design flaw, the lightening bit wont work if you have any sort of case on your iPod/iPhone. It needs to be flush with the bottom of the device, so don't purchase this if you have an Otter-box or anything you don't plan on removing. I take away 1 star for that reason. I personally have an easily removable case, so it's no big deal for me.

    30 pin to lightening adapter

Should have read the reviews BEFORE purchasing. It does not work with when using a Lifeproof case. On the upside, returning it so far was easy.

    Failure with 2 devices

Did not work with the slim case on my iPod touch or my Otterbox Strada case on my iPhone. It seems like the lightening cord would work if you removed the case.

    Good but not for all

I bought this to use as a connector for my phone to docking station. I have an iphone 7plus so it's sizeable and weighty. Whilst it worked in the station and music played fine and it charged, due to the weight of the phone it did not sit right and was quite slanted and looked like it could topple over at any stage! I've now returned for the connector with a lead. So if you have the plus size - get the other Lightning adapter with the lead - much more suitable!

    Adapter on a Ruarkaudio 4i

Moving from an older iPhone to iPhone5 has meant that I could not use the Ruarkaudio's dock. This lack became increasingly annoying therefore I looked into the options for connectivity using some sort of adapter. Obviously, I read the reviews posted here and was very worried about whether the Lightening adapter would work - it's rather expensive. I asked Ruark's advice service and was told the genuine Apple Lightening adapter worked fine, with the adapter-support available from Proporta. I can report that the four products, now mutually connectable, work in perfect harmony.

    Works GREAT for me!

I bought an adapter hoping I could use my 30 pin iRig Midi with my iPad Mini. I plugged it in and it works with no problem. I am even able to charge my iPad while in use. I am extremely satisfied.

Doesn't work with Apple's own cases

Bought to use with brand new iPhone SE in genuine Apple leather iPhone SE case.

Lightning Adapter design requires it be flush against the phone for the full width of the adapter, and therefore it can't be inserted deep enough when using the case, which is cut to fit JUST the lightning plug.

Not for use with most cases

If you have a case that offers good protection for your device then this will not work.

    Racket

I use my phone to display video on TV ( through apples proprietary and expensive 30 pin adapter cord ). Of course when I upgraded my phone to a 6S Plus, it has the new Lightning plug. So I bought an expensive 30 pin to Lightning adapter ( $30 ? Really Apple, Apple, $30 ??? ), only to find out the adapter only supports audio, not video. So do I have to buy a new cable to play video on TV every time you decide to "improve" the product by changing the dimensions of the cord that plugs into the phone. What a racket !

Doesn't work with cell phone case!

I can't believe that Apple, known for great design, would design an adapter that's too short to work when your phone is in a case (which most are). Back to the store it goes -- I wish I had read all of the poor reviews before I bought this product!

Works for Nano & Bose Portable SoundDock

I got this to continue using my Bose Portable SoundDock (2011) with a new iPod Nano (7th G). It charges the iPod, plays all audio and the dock's remote still works with this adapter to change volume, fwd/ rewind, change playlists, etc. Was the best solution in comparison to Bluetooth adapters which can't charge the iPod. I even tried an AUX cable which reduced volume to half plus the remote didn't work.

Won't work with a case on your phone

I too bought these in the hopes of being able to use them with the Sony Clock radios that both my wife and I have. Found out the only way they'd work is if the case is removed from the iPhone (5SE for my wife and 6S for me).

I'd really like to see Apple redesign this with a longer Lightning connector and perhaps two or three spacers of various thicknesses. That way, the length of the Lightning connector could be customized by the user by the appropriate selection of spacers and would allow this to be used with any number of cases or without a case entirely.

    Doesn't Work!

Purchased this so I could use my older Bose sound docks with my newer IPod nano. It charges the iPod but the audio does not work. I get an error message that states "unsupported, accessory is not supported." Prior to purchasing this iPod I was told this adapter would be all I need to continue to use my sounddocks. But, no, that's not the case. I can't upgrade my sound docks so they can be "supported" by Apple. I'm a retired school teacher and can't afford that. Why can't you keep this simple and easy. I'm so disappointed.

    NOT CHARGING

I bought this when I got my iPad mini. This just won't work with my iPhone 6 and now it won't work with my iPad mini. I got this so that I can charge my iPhone at the job since I have a 30 pin charging cord (authentic Apple cord). This was a waste of my money. And just think, I wasn't concerned about the case on the phone, I can always remove it.

Very useful in transition from older to new style cable

I got this back when I first got a iPhone 5 moving on from older style, I still use the older style for my older Ipad 3g for useful at the start.

Less used now but still glad I had it was very handy.

Now have loads of the newer cables as they come with any new iPhones / iPads so don't find I use the older one as much.

    Doesn't integrate with 30-pin IHome clock/radio

I upgraded my old Ipod (30-pin) to a new Ipod Touch at Christmas. I bough this adapter so I could continue playing music through my expensive Ihome clock/radio. Unfortunately the only thing this adapter does is serve as a charger for the Ipod and will only play music through my Ipod, not the Ihome unit. It won't even recognize the Ipod enough to sync the clock properly. After continuing to invest so much money in all of these Apple products because they promote integration, I continue to be let down and am forced to buy/replace more products. So much for integrating their systems.

Another badly thought through apple products

I got this with my new Apple iPhone and apple case all sold by the apple assistant in an apple shop only to find this is useless as you can't use it when the phone is in the apple case!! £25 down the drain. Don't buy if your phone is in a case.

    Apple rip-off

One would have thought that when Apple changed IPads to a lightning connection they would have designed an adaptor that allowed the IPads to function on existing audio docking stations. THEY DIDN'T!!!. And as a result I'm left with this over-priced useless adaptor. You Apple guys are getting a bad reputation as this isn't the first time this has happened.

ABSOLUTELY GREEDY AND SHAMEFUL - APPLE

Just bought the lightning to 30 pin adaptor cable to play music from my iPhone 6 through my Bowers and Wilkins Zeppelin. Where the do I put my phone??? The cable is too short for the phone to rest at the side of my speaker. I knew it was short but not so short as to have to find a pile of books to put immediately next to the speaker for the phone to sit on! £35 for that! Apple are now becoming too greedy for my liking! They need a good kicking up the backside by Samsung. Jeez...its not as though my speaker is that old.
APPLE - sort yourselves out ...you've become too greedy and it will be your downfall if you don't stop it now!
