    Best Yet!

I have always had a love/hate relationship with in-ear headphones. I loved the clarity of the music and the quality of the sound. I hated the fact that it would constantly fall out of my earphones and the fact that I couldnt hear anyone else talking. These however sound amazing, I can hear people around me, and they dont fall out! I always wanted a headphone to have quality sound like the in-ear headphones deliver but have the same comfort as the iPod headphones. These are perfect for me!

    Sound and Fit

The headphones sound better than most in ear headphones in this price range, but they constantly fall out or move out of position.

    Best Apple headphones to date...

Terrific! The EarPods are so comfortable you can easily forget they are there. They sound so good, very clean and crisp. Bass is there, but it doesn't dominate. It's more of a surprise then anything. Got an iPod Classic a few years ago and I gave away the headphones - they were horrible. Instead, I've been using $20 SkullCandy Ink'd in ear headphones for the past two years. They sound ok, aren't very comfortable, and don't have a remote + mic for use with my iPad (3rd Gen.) and Macs. If I hadn't read so many good reviews, I never would have given the EarPods a chance. They are easily worth $30; I highly recommend them.

    Yay but nay.

These are fantastic for the price, but it is nonsense that they aren't compatible with my 3rd gen. iPod shuffle.

    Apple Ear Pods

Theses are awesome! Totally worth buying! Love the sound quality on them! Not only that they fit in my ear perfectly! 5 star product! You can hear the bass difference from the old ones to and these ear pods blow the old ones away!

I just upgraded to these from a pair of Sennheiser MX 500s and the sound and fit are much better! Yeah it's not audiophile quality but they're $30, and maybe for some people they're too big/small but I've never had a pair of earbuds that fit so well; statistically speaking I probably have average ears, for what that's worth

I bought these EarPods to replace the original earbuds to use while running with my iPod. I have small ear canals and I was really disappointed while running with these because they kept falling out of my ears. I was constantly adjusting and readjusting but they still kept falling out. The biggest difference with these compared to the original is that these have no rubber gaskets around the earpiece to keep them in place, so they just come loose and fall out. I went back to the originals and they stay in place better than these EarPods. If you have small ear canals, don't buy these. It seems to me that Apple should sell 2 sizes, small and large. Although the sound is great, really disappointed with the fit!

    Most 5 star ratings Exaggerate

Okay, I've had the original earbuds from apple since 2006 and although they weren't Bose quality they did the trick. I got these new ear pods with my iPhone 5 and agree that they are better. But NOT significantly better. Before I got them I was pretty excited because I was looking into purchasing Bose or Beats by Dre headphones. After reading the ratings I reconsidered because several people proclaimed the apple earpods were better. FALSE!
These things are an upgrade from the old version, but no where near the sound quality of premium earphones. I gave these a thorough test comparison with the old version and found them to be about a decibel louder and a tad bit clearer. This makes sense, because they are designed to channel sound down the ear canal.
If your previous earbuds are busted, I'd recommend these. If you're looking for good sound on a budget below $50, I'd definitely recommend these. If you like apple's products and want these to go with your iPod or iPhone as a style thing, I'd also recommend these. HOWEVER, if you're looking for premium sound quality, DON'T let other reviews or ratings fool you. I would never recommend these over Bose or Beats by Dre products.

    GREAT EarPods!!

I know not every ear is equal, especially when you're 60 years old. But these EarPods are fantastic in my somewhat failing ears. The mid and high frequencies are crisp and clear, much better than my expensive Bose earphones. The only downside is the bass is not quite as good, but, only slightly. However, overall they're great!!! Highly recommend if your hearing is starting to wane like mine.

Way better than the old apple phones

I took my old apple headphones in and put these in. My first impression was that I had to raise the volume to hear anything, higher than the old apple headphones. Second impresssion was that the base sounds great, it . I feel like a new man. Headphones are awesome.

    Too big

I don't know what is wrong with my ears, but I cannot get these EarPods to stay in. I thought they would be better than the original iPhone earpods, but they are just as bad. Very disappointing.

    Not for working out!

The title says it all,the sound is nice but the fall out over and over, drives me crazy to have to continue to put them back in my ears, went to apple and bought a new pair that cost around 79.99. I think they planned it this way.So save your money and opt for the more expensive ones.

Firstly, you should buy these. Compared against the myriad of horrible consumer orientated headphones on the market (*cough* Beats *cough*) these are simply incredible for $30. As for why, read my review.

The new Apple EarPods, needless to say, easily bests the old earbuds in every department. All round clarity and quality across the entire spectrum is superb, and notably bass quality and quantity is dramatically, I reiterate DRAMATICALLY improved. In fact, I would classify these as a slightly bass heavy headphone, but not overly so. Soundstaging is abysmal, but at this price, what can you expect? Balance is top notch, and although the treble is a bit messy, ignoring the isolation I wouldn't mind using them on my daily commute. Whilst these earbuds do not satisfy my uncouth craving for utmost clarity, as a person accustomed to a pair of $700 pro CIEMs, they are certainly incredible at their price point.

These headphones are incredible for the money and best many headphones well into the $50+ range. Hopefully these brilliant earbuds will discourage people from buying Beats and other awful consumer headphones. A $30 well spent! Great job Apple!

    My new favorite earphones

I listen to classical music. My favorite headphones are the Grado SR80i. For portable use, I really like the Apple earpods. To me the sound is clear, detailed and well balanced across the frequency range. I also really like not having to jam them into your ear canals to get good sound. They do not block out much external noise so they aren't good for noisy places, but for quiet listening away from the desktop or stereo they are the ones I prefer.

Compared to previous standard headphone that come with an iPod or iPhone these are by far the best quality of sound and fully worth the price!! Well done Apple!

    Great sound but poor fit

i got mine from my iphone 5. the sound quality is really suprisingly good! i could not believe they're giving out these phones along with the iphone. in terms of sound quality, i am very satisfied. it cannot compare with westone 4r which i am currently wearing but it is GOOD.

but the fit is really poor, it just keep falling out! a earphone that can't stay in the ear is as good as nothing. and that is the reason why i give it 1 star only.
