Best sound quality I'v gotten in a long time.

The bass is deep and rich and beats top of the line $200 headphones by far.

    Awesome Headphones!

These headphones are great, even though they came with the iPhone 5 these are worth $30. I own a pair of Beats by Dre Tours and these are almost as good. For the price they beat out the Tours like night and day. As for fitment, they are way better than the previous style but still have a tendency to fall out. Other than that its another great, quality product by Apple. I will be buying multiple ones in the future!

    Genius

The sound in my original Apple earbuds was always pretty good. But, these EarPods are just about perfect (for earbuds). The shape, wow, why did it take everyone so long to come up with one the same shape as the inside of the ear! The speaker portion facing directly into your ear canal, sure beats the speaker aiming right for the skin on the inside of my ear. I have bought every expensive earbud in the last year trying to find solid music quality, and now Apple has a GREAT set for 30 bucks! I love Apple!!!!! Genius!!!!!

    Very Good!

For the price, you can't beat these earbuds. Apple's claim that the shape promotes a better fit in your ear is spot on: they feel quite comfortable. The sound quality is noticeably better than the previous generation of earbuds, especially when you crank the sound up.

My only complaint is the Mic on the right earbud: the controls for music playback are a bit more touchy than the old ones. For instance, to skip to the next song requires you to double tap the middle button rather quickly, or else it will pause. But other than that there is nothing wrong with them.

    They ACTUALLY out did themselves....!!!

I just bought the EarPods w/ remote and Mic at the local store yesterday and when I had previously read the Apple description which states "The audio quality is so superior, they rival high-end headphones that cost much more", I quietly smiled but knowing Apple can as we all know, truly surprise their customers with great innovations, well,my friends, they did it again and in a really great way...I mean, the sound is from the get go impressive to say the least...It rivals easily with my high end Senheiser, Koss and Sony "around-the-ear" Earphones and in no shy ways at all...the whole spectrum is present, the sensitivity although not stated, has to be on the high end, and the bass, mediums and highs are all present in a clean and clear way...
Bottom line is, this "thing" is a steal at 29 bucks...LOL...love it :)

Does exactly what it aims to do!

No, these are not going to rival the Bang & Olufsen and Bose's that's a given, but nor are they meant to. You have to remember these are a bundled freebie, or if bought separately £25, making them definitively budget level headphones. Once you recognise this, you will realise that these are exceptional quality for what they are. The bass is deep and yet refined, and the mid-ranges and upper tones are distinctive. They are also very comfortable to wear, so much so that within a couple of minutes they become unnoticeable, added to this I know some people have been complaining about them falling out, however for me they stay in unless I really am jumping up and down. Overall, these are a vast improvement over the original Apple headphones (which were awful) and a worthwhile freebie to go along with your new iPhone 5.

Sounds great, but bad mic/controls position

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but the position of the microphone is higher than on the previous earphones. It is positioned in such a way that the collar of my shirt is constantly hitting the mic, so the person I'm talking to is constantly asking me what the ruffling noise is. If the mic was a bit lower (back to it's original position), these earbuds would be great.

The right earbud does seem to fall out when I use the controls to skip to next song. Again, this is because the controls are too close to the right earpiece, so grabbing the controls tends to move the earpiece out of place.

Sound quality is much better than the previous ones.

    AWESOME,BEATS MANY EXPENSIVE ONES

i am a audiophile . i always check for balance of bass and clarity. i listen to rock songs ,
tried all kinds of earphones and ear buds. Recently bought Bose IE2 ear buds, bass was not
up to the mark but fitting was really good. And ear phone built wit mic never really worked
for me, somehow they are bad in sound.

These ear pods are really cool compared to any earphones in the market . Tried rock and rap songs ,sound dispersion , acoustic , bass everything is very good and balanced .there is no pressure build up or discomfort in the ear can go on for hours . These r very light weight ,
no sound distortion too. Apple did a excellent job with these little blasters, way way better
than previous ones. They have optimum noise cancellation u can still hear others . People who complain about noise cancellation they better first realize the purpose of these things.
I am surprised how apple did this for such low price .

    Great

I have had many headphones and many devices, from walkman to mini disc, from ipod to iphone 5, and these really are fantastic. Good bass, detail, comfortable without completely blocking background noise (safer) unless you push them home tight. Quite simply the best headphones with built in remote and mic. This is apple design at its best :)

    Way better than the standard

Bought these to go along with my iPhone 4S and they sound amazing. I've owned several pairs of ear bud style headphones and these are by far my favorite. For the money spent, you really can't go wrong!

    Compare and purchase

OK, these little wonders came along with the iPhone 5 . Have to say., right off, the comfort is really there. They slip into the ear without hassle, no lining up , just plop in and they seem to fall into a natural position. The sound is really nice. The type of music you listen to and they quality of the recording will make a difference in the sound.. I'm impressed.
I do have the apple in-ear buds (the dual driver style) and these don't compare to them (but they really do sound good ), but they are noise canceling and these are not. Its a plus if your in a place where you still want to hear whats going on and for safety's sake.
The control works well and apple seemed to make it a bit more responsive to touch compared to the former versions that used the same volume -+ and clicker for OFF, ON, SKIP, PLAYBACK.
The storage case works and is easy to rewind for when that time comes. for the money, Apple did well with this design. Go get some, especially if you think the old earbuds worked well.

    OOFT!!

Bought these a couple of weeks ago just to try. I've also got a pair of Dr Dre Studio headphones which I use all the time but feel at times they're too big. I've always had trouble with in ear headphones staying in my ears, especially the left ear for some reason, but these bad boys fit like a glove!

I took them on holiday along with the Dre's, I didn't use the Dre's once! Do yourself a favour & purchase a music player with an EQ/graphic equalizer, I'm using EQ+, the bottom end out of these things are amazing! I highly recommend them.

Sound great but won't stay in my ear!

I don't get how this can be... I feel like my ears are a pretty normal shape, but I can't walk 10 feet without one or both falling out. My best guess is that they're too light?

An awesome pair of earpods for the price!

Thought of buying Bose's MIE2i set but this is good enough for casual listening. Deep bass and clear highs. Put a pair of cheap spongy ear pads on these and they'll sound awesome!

Better sound, but still too large

These headphones have a MUCH better sound quality than the prior EarPods. They are a bit large and hard to keep in if you have small ears, but overall a better earphone!

    Truly Amazing Earpods

All I can say is.... Yet another awesome creation from Apple! Fits into the ear perfectly and produces the sound far more better than the previous apple headphones and most in-ear headphones. Would certainly recommend this product to anyone who loves perfection.

    Cheers
