So much better than the old ones!

The old ones weren't very good quality. A lot of the times the songs could've sound so much better. I'm content that they were included in the iPhone 5.

    The best out there!

These headphones are simply the best out there! I got them with my iP5, and I'm loving the fit, the sound quality and durability! I've compared them to $150 headphones from Bose, and I honestly couldn't tell the difference in sound quality. These "EarPods" are an incredible value at 30 bux!

    Awesome!

I just received these new earpods today for an early birthday gift and I have to say that I was excited to get them as well as excited to see how they would sound on my ipod. I have the 6th Gen. ipod nano and when I plugged the new earpods, I was blown away! These sound great!!! Just absolutely wonderful and so full of rich sound and bass. A nice combination and balance. They fit comfortably in my ear, snug, and that is reassuring to me also.
In short, Apple has really out-done themselves with this one. The finally got the sound right. If you are thinking about getting these, I am the one to tell you not to hesitate. They are worth the money. So stop reading my review and go get them already!

    Audiophile Sound for $35!!!

I have been on the quest for the perfect set of $100 or less headphones for years to replace the almost laughable ear buds that came with previous iPods and iPhones. I have earphones from Sure, Koss, Sony, Seinheiser, Grado and more at home. All sound fine in their own unique ways, but my only wish, they came out with these years ago. Would have saved me hundreds of $$$ on third party headphones.

All I can say is these were a longtime coming but Apple is finally providing great sounding headphones with strong bass and crisp high's that actually feel good in my ear.
    Well done Apple!

    fabulous

These are amazing sound quality for the price and stay in the ears quite well. Much better than those I have purchased in the past both from Apple and other makes and for the money cannot be beaten. Sound levels are amazing.

    WOW!

Just got these headphones 2 days ago. They're absolutely great. Comfortable fit, good design and I am convinced that they sound better than the old ones, too! All in all a great product! I can only recommend it!

    Just Great Sound

I haven't used earphones for a while since owning beats, souls, and vmoda's headphones.

First impression...Sound is right up there with my ludacris souls sl150 (best of the bunch). Bass was present which i didn't expect much of it from these tiny earphones. Crystal clear highs w/ no distortion and well balanced with the mids. Apple got it right with the sound. I'm truly impressed.

Fitment... Now here is where it gets tricky. i had to play with the left/right just to get it to fit properly without falling off and getting the right amount of sound in my ear. sometimes one side is louder than the other side...thats because of positioning.

I wouldn't recommend it for doing any sort of strenuous activities as they tend to fall off easily. Brisk walks to the park, sitting at home, or just listening to music at work will be ok. But if you plan to use these for any sort of workouts...Forget about it. I'm not sure if they are sweatproof too.

Still falls out of my ears

Marginal sound improvement but these earpods still fall out of my ears especially while moving or exercising. They are also still terrible at blocking out background noise unlike Apple's own canal buds. I wish the $29 accessory that came with the iPhone5 was 30pin-lightning adapter instead of these earphones, which will go in my drawer of non-useful white headphones.

don't stay in ears while jogging.

I must have an ear shape that apple did not cover in their quest for a better pair of ear pods. They do not stay in while jogging, or even when doing pull ups at the gym. I thought, after opening the box, that I would have trouble w/ the EarPods because they looked thicker than the old model, and confirmed this when i went for a jog. I love the sound quality, but, after awhile they start to hurt (30 min. or so). when I'm sitting at my desk, or lounging on the couch they're great. I will however, be returning to my old head set for more vigorous activities.

    Bose in Trouble

Just got these with an iPhone 5. I have been using Bose earbuds at >$100. These are better! They fit better and sound better. If I were running Apple I would bump the price of these up a good notch.

    Better sound, but borderline unusable

The sound quality of these earphones has improved massively on the previous versions, but it's the decision to make the ear buds themselves completely out of plastic that's the problem. They're so slippery that you spend the vast majority of your time trying to get them back into, or simply holding them in, your ear. That's annoying enough if you're sitting down, but it makes them borderline unusable if you're walk around using them at all.

    Sounds great but poor fit

I must have slightly larger ears because the pods just don't sit tight in my ear. Turning my head or looking down means they almost fall out.

A great shame because for the price they sound excellent. Sadly i'll be taking advantage of the 14 day return policy and getting some in-ear headphones instead

    Still Hurt

They sound great, and they are initial more comfortable than the previous ear pods, but after a while they make my ears very sore. I by no means have small ears; When I use the marshmallow earbuds I use the big foam insert. They also still have the tendency to fall out making them difficult to wear while jogging.

    Phenomenal

It is immediately noticeable the difference from the old headphones. The volume/mic piece is more responsive and controllable. Overall these are the best headphones around. I have no complaint and no regrets about buying these headphones.

    BASS!

Finally!! You don't have to jam these into your ears and hope they stay in to get some bass out of it. Totally blown away by the sound quality of these headphones. Not expecting it from $30 headphones, or free, if you got the new iPhone 5 or the coming iPods. I tried my friend's Bose MIE2i's and these are on par, if not better. The sound is more full, rounded, and clear. You can actually feel and hear the bass now. Satisfied so far!

    Impressed

These took me by surprise, when I opened the package for some reason I was expecting them to look different in person, I put them in and thought they were going to fall. But once you actually use them, you will discover they are as comfortable and stay in place as advertised. For $30 the sound blows away the competition in their price range and even above. I've had more expensive earbuds that don't sound nowhere near as good as these.
