    Amazing sound!.. Poor fit.

These headphones without a doubt are ten times better than the previous generation! The sound quality is amazing; however the issue is the fit. As others have pointed out, one size doesn't fit all. I constantly struggle with my right ear as it keeps falling out of it. Due to that annoyance, I was forced to go back to my old headphones. :(

LOVE THEM! So far so good.

Bought these the day they came out and gotta say the new EarPods are AMAZING! When I put them in my ears I was like HOLY!!!! They sound crisp, clear and have PLENTY of bass. I let everybody at my family party (30 people) try them and just a lot of "WOWWWS" and believers! I haven't taken them running yet so I don't know how well they hold in your ears but I have to say, GET THEM!!

Great sound, not so great fit

Ok, so the sound quality is a HUGE improvement but still these don't seem to stay in my ears all too well. They do stay in better than the previous model but they fall out upon a quick head turn and they'll gradually get closer to falling after about 45 or so minutes of play time. Maybe my ears are just strange. It would have been a great idea for apple to include a set of different sized ergonomic silicone tips to place over the ear pods to further the snugness of fit, but all well, I'll still use them.

Well built ear buds but a little off on the fit.

I gave this product 3 stars not because they're poor headphones but because they seem to have been built for people who have absolutely tiny ear canals.

I don't have a large ear canal (I typically hover between a small and medium rubber cone on more inner ear headphones) but these things fall out of my ear with the smallest tug or quick movement. And working out? Forget that.

Before you buy them, I would try to grab a friends and do a fit test. Again, they're very high quality construction, sound nice but they absolutely will NOT fit everyone's ear.

    Awesome! Great Improvement. Great Price.

The EarPods are an amazing improvement over the old Earphones Apple used to offer. And the price is the same! The sound is a lot better. I don't know how exactly to describe it, but it's just better. The buttons for controlling the music currently playing feel... clickier... (if thats a word...) It feels more durable than the older Earphones. They are easily on-par with other brand name headphones that go for hundreds of dollars. If you in the market for new headphones, give these a try. You will not be dissapointed. Especially for $30.

    Mind Blowing

I am completely blown away by these headphones.
I would say 65% better than the previous headphones.
Without exaggerating. Just so impressed I'm telling all
    my friends. Thank you apple.

One size does not fit all

And again, millions upon millions of pairs of white plastic headphones will go into customers' closets, never to emerge again. What a waste. These newly designed Apple earbuds have OK sound (above average, but no big whoop), and are slightly inferior to both my Sennheiser CX-300 earbuds (which punch above their weight at just $20) and my Zagg smartbuds ($50). I ask you, is smooth shiny hard plastic really the nicest material to shove into the human ear? FWIW, the left bud stays put when I move but the right one falls out of my ear after a minute or two -- go figure. Apparently this is news to Apple: People's ear canals have different shapes and sizes! Why would the company once again force this Procrustean one-size-fits-all "solution" on us, instead of delivering different-sized rubber or silicone tips that we can pick and choose for a snug fit? Oh, also: white earbuds with a black iPhone 5? Kinda jarring-looking.

    Hurts my ears

I have small ears but not that small. And after using them for 15 minutes the part of the ear just above where the letter is on the earphone starts to hurt .. have to wait 15 mins before I use them again.

I always use the Apple earphones (the $100 pair) because they fit so well in the ear but these are actually a lot better but not for small ears.

Another fail, won't stay in ears

I am really not sure what anyone on his site is talking about in their reviews, these earbuds are terrible. Just like the old style apple earbuds these wont stay in the star not for me my mom my sis or 2 or my friends. We tried stuffing them in our ears and using the tension clip right up against our chin to hold it all together tight and they still only stay in as long as you continue to look forward and not move. The moment you move, walk, run, dance, they fall out.
Next the sound quality is not superior to anything that costs forty dollars or more, definitely doesn't come close to my Shure 425se's, and still bellow what HTC offered when they shipped phones with beats audio buds which weren't great either.
Finally the materials they used are the same as the previous earbuds with which my biggest complaint has ways been the cable. Why does apple keep using this weird rubberband type rubber coating??? It is notoriously weak, turns brown practically after the first use, and this cord bounces around a lot more than a standard cord which actually aids the pods jump out of your ears and makes it annoying to coil up the cord (I assume that's why thy now include a case).

Even for the price there are better sounding and fitting earbuds out there. Info not recommend anyone buy these for any reason. I know I'll never be using the ones that came with my iPhone5 and neither will anyone else I know.

    Incredible Value - Thanks Apple!

Previous Apple earphones didn't meet my standards for music and video, and they certainly didn't do justice to Apple's digital audio. Having more than decent audio visual system at home with some excellent speakers my requirements for earphones were pretty high. I tried quite a few earphones and canal phones of varying designs, with and without noise cancelation, but eventually went slightly insane and purchased a pair of Shure 535 canal phones - triple drivers, mechanical sound isolation, and sound that is second to none. I use them with my PB Pro and my iPhone 4. Then I read about these new earpods and tried a set. Simply put, I love them.

They fit well, sound great, work well with the iPhone and computer, and presumably will last a while. No, they certainly will not replace my 535s, but there are places I don't care to take or use the expensive 535s. For those my $29 earbuds provide great sound that equals or exceeds units costing 3 times as much. They really are an incredible bargain! Thank you Apple.

I can't really use in ear headphones because they constantly fall out, but these work pretty good for use with easy movement. The sound though is incredible. I compared them side by side to my beats by dre in ear headphones and I prefer these much better. The music just shines and sounds amazing through these earphones. Great natural sound for those picky about sound. I am a professional musician and constantly look for the best and highest sound quality. I am simply in love with these to listen to music with my iphone. Great job apple.

Apple EarPods are finally headphones that do not disappoint! I listen to a ton of electronic/dance music, and the previous version delivered no bass whatsoever. These new headphones are not only comfy, but DELIVER ON THE BASS!!

Stay in more than previous headphones, sound better than anything

If you're used to in-ear headphones, they're not uncomfortable at all. They sound better than most in-ear headphones for under $200, and only cost $30. They cannot be switched however; i.e. the right earpod only fits in the right ear. A bit of a shame as I prefer the remote on the left, but they're still very good.

    what an improvement!

These headphones are great. There is a significant improvement in sound and while i can't speak for everyone, they are extremely comfortable. So glad they came included with the iPhone 5.
