No problems! In fact it's great!

I had literally wore out the apple headphones that had originally come with my iPhone 4 and I didn't want to buy expensive earbuds. I heard that the newly designed earbuds by apple were better than before so I picked them up today from best buy. I will say this. They are excellent for the price. They were put through their paces for several forms of music. And every band from every genre, whether new age, black metal, alternative, jazz, it didn't matter. Music was balanced and clear, I felt bass boost without at deterioration, and the shape of the earbuds contour curves right into your ears just wonderfully. Plus they have a microphone for calls as well. I have nothing bad to say about these. There are plenty of alternatives out there for more money that are better, of course. But these sound on par if not better than the $70 Sony earbuds I bought two years ago. I'm going to prefer using these apple ones at night in bed!

    DO NOT BUY!

    Where to start?
first of all they seem like a good pair of headphones with a unique design but dont be fooled first problem i had with them was that the right headphone completely cut out so that made them useless straight away next thing the left head phone started to go on and off when it wanted to and going quiter each time so to listen to music i had to have it full blast and the room had to be silent for me too hear it. And the last thing then the 3.5mm input has snapped off and now is stuck inside my laptop! i never write reviews but i just want people not to waste their money! SO DONT BUY THEM!

EarPods fall out of my ears :-(

I like to think I have "normal" ears (I do). They are, well, shaped like normal ears. The problem is, my EarPods constantly fall out and wiggle lose to the point where they are simply not practical to use. Unless I am sitting or standing completely still., they fall out of my ears. Very frustrating. Does anyone else have a similar problem?

    Blown Away

When I upgraded to my iPhone 5, my son had told me that the headphones that came with it were really good. I didn't believe him as the headphones that came with the iPhone 4, to put mildly, sucked.

BUT, when I plugged in the new EarPods, I was absolutely amazed at the sound quality...especially the bass! I have been a Bose IE2 customer for years. I am on my 3rd pair of those. They are now retired.

I came to the Apple site out of sheer curiosity on the cost of the EarPods should I wear these out. Even more amazed that they are only $30 retail!

    I'm sold!

    Insanely great

With stunning bass and clear sound right through the audio spectrum, the new EarPods put my $150 Bose earbuds to shame, and pretty much as good as my Sennheiser monitor headphones.

I listen to just about every kind of music and these give great sound for all genres of music. They're also way better on the design of the buttons, so they are better than the previous earbuds for volume control and for getting Siri started.

A serious coup by Apple here: inexpensive, comfortable and great sound. These were the major surprise of getting the iPhone 5 that I hadn't counted on! If you just need a new set of earbuds for your iPod or iPhone, get these instead of the older model. These are MUCH better in every way.

I'll take it for $30; I like the headphones!

I'll take it! Miss my Bowers&Wilkins C5... Waiting on the B&W P3! Great Apple headphones though!

An improvement to the previous ones

I was pleasantly surprise about how well they sound. Bass response is good and they're easy to tell apart in the dark to distinguish right and left.

Most Uncomfortable Earphones I've Ever Owned

The sound quality of the headphones are comparable to any $30 headphone from competitors. But, after about 1 - 2 hours of continuous use my ears actually hurt from the large pieces of hard plastic pushing against the structure of my ear. I've never experienced this with other headphones before and I'm disappointed that these are apparently "designed to fit the average human ear, with extensive testing".

I would not recommend these to anyone.

    EarPods too large

Sound is superb !! However, the EarPods are too large and hurt me after wearing them for just a few minutes. Wish they had cushions on the EarPods and smaller sizes. I am a full-sized adult with smaller ear canals.

    wow

These earPods produce a sound that rivals that from some headphones. Whats more they compete in sound quality with ear buds from bose and seinhouser for a fraction of the price. The fit too is excellent. For 30 bucks why would you buy anything else??? oh they have a remote and a microphone? How are these only $30?!

    So close...

These sound GREAT as long as I push them forward into my ear canal and hold them there. But there's so much sound leakage when you're wearing them normally that the sound gets completely washed out. For example, the bass is completely non-existent. I think I'm going to get some silicone putty to bulk them up so they sit farther into my ears.

    Security of Earbuds in Ear

The overall quality of the headphones are great, apple does well for itself yet whenever I have the earbuds in while walking around or doing basic tasks at home, I constantly have to readjust or reinsert them do to the smooth surface they lack the grip to remain seated. Overall a decent product and I try to enjoy them but this is a major downfall in its design.

    not great

if i hold them in my ears with my fingers the sound is awesome. seems like they were designed to fit some ear shapes perfectly but not others. my old apple earbuds were a much better fit for me, these ones literally do not stay in, even if i am sitting perfectly still at a desk they just fall right out.

Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic - the worst $29 I have ever spent

You know... in reading all of the reviews for these ear pods, I truly wish I could "share the love" with most of the reviews. Bottom line, is these buds do not stay in my ear. The disappointing part, is that I decided to purchase them based on all of these stellar reviews a couple of weeks ago. I do give them ONE star because of the great sound quality - I'll give it that. Now, they sit on my bookcase, collecting dust, sadly. Maybe I just have abnormally small ear canals. Sigh... my search for the perfect earbuds continue...
