    HOLY COW!

These are by far the best $30 earbuds on the planet, they sound downright amazing and are better than my expensive over the ear noise canceling headset. Don't even hesitate, go get these!

    Much better than expected...

I bought these to replace the old buds that came with my iPhone. The EarPods fit much comfortably and even though they don't feel like it, they are more secure.

Best thing is the sound quality: such an improvement over the last set (not that hard, admittedly...) but also in absolute terms. They are capable of picking out fine detail that would normally need an expensive pair of closed headphones to resolve, plus the bass is well extended but incredibly "open" and rich.

The acid test for me with anything audio-related, is can I listen for as long as I like without getting tired by poor reproduction. Does whatever it is annoy my ears after a while? These new EarPods fade into the background, just allowing me to enjoy whatever I'm listening to. Highly recommended, especially at the price.

    Fantastic Sound-Poor Fit

The sound quality will blow you away, but, the fit for me was so bad, that I returned them the same day I bought them. They slipped out of my ears constantly, just by walking. I truly hated to return them, because the sound was so fabulous. I have gone back to the most comfortable earbuds for me, the Apple In Ear. Also, fabulous sound. Wish these had been a good fit for me though.

    Great

These headphones are so much better than the old apple headphones, I could tell the difference as soon as I started using them. The best headphones I've used for under $50

    Worth it

Huge difference over the old Apple headphones. I'm not disappointed at all, and I can't say that I regret spending $30 on these. Hopefully they won't break or come apart like the old ones inevitably did.

It work well with iPhone5, but not iPhone4

This EarPods works great with iPhone5. But when I tried it on my iPhone4, it doesn't work at all, and the music sounds very blur. I cannot figure out what is happening there.

    Apple got it right

I was a bit skeptical after owning 2 sets of the original white ear buds which were marginally comfortable, had acceptable sound, but lost the rubber edge after a few months and fell apart after a year. So what a pleasant surprise to find a set of very comfortable headphones that came with my iPhone. They sound marvellous (on par with my in-ear $89 Apple ear buds). One quirk is they often feel like they are about to fall out but rarely do. I don't suppose any more positive reviews are required but I figure I'll just add my voice ...

    Bummer

I'm disappointed in the Earpods, I don't understand why there are so many 4 and 5 star reviews of these things. I got mine free with my iPhone 5 but still went out and replaced them almost immediately. They won't stay in because of the slippery plastic finish, just like the previous iteration. Not understanding if Apple just wants to let the aftermarket deal with headsets but I spent another $75 for a Sennheiser replacement with much better stay-in-ear design.

    Great!

These things sound great, especially for $30.00, but they are a little big.

Sadly, a very very poor design

The problem is not the audio quality but the fit. The Apple video, and its shill, claim that Apple worked on the tough problem of designing pods that fit all ears. Sorry. They will not stay in my ears more than about 15 seconds, no matter the adjustment or pulling on the pinna to lodge them better. (I do think my ears are normal, and I'm certainly not a Vulcan.) Once loose in the outer ear it does not matter how good the sound quality.

Considering that these are used far more often than the much-maligned iOS6 maps, which works fine for me by the way, the EarPods strike me as a much worse Apple disaster.

    PERFECTION.

Apple you really pulled it out of the bag with this one , the many months you spent on designing these earphones was truly worth it. Great Job !!

    Pretty Good
and really great sounding.i got them with the new ipod touch 5thg genration whats amazing is how they are so much better than any earphones i have ever owned pretty good only for 30 dollars i think woth noise isolation would be better wiht it but its in the future since apple takes time,to decide based on user remarks.i will for sure recommend this to anybody and you will be blowing away for $30.highly recommended

    worth it's apple in weight

no need spending 100s' on earphones. I was in Amsterdam airport and needed a replacement pair so thought I'd try the new earpods...
Was totally amazed with the low deep fill of the bass. worth it's apple in weight,
by far a bargain for the price. Why spend so much on one pair when you can buy 4 earpods of which will definitely last you 4 times as long.
A matt finish or some rubber grip would have made these a perfect 10/10 as they do slip around now and then.

    Left ear not working?

These headphones were ok for $30 until about 2 weeks later, my left ear started to die down. I was able to fix it for a short amount of time and then it TOTALLY WENT DOWN. You guys MUST fix this because from Apple, this is NOT acceptable.

    EarPods

I've just unwrapped the EarPods, with some skepticism (I didnt rate the previous buds for comfort or sound) plugged them into my iPhone 5 and popped them in my ears. First impressions, wow, these are comfortable. I have a pair of old Shure E2C in ear phones that I use at work (approx £90 when new). I have to say that things have seriously progressed. The Apple EarPods provide more bass and way more detail than the Shure's. The level of detail is very surprising for the money, certainly enough to determine digital issues on poor recordings or rips. These little things rival my old Grado headphones for detail. Amazing for the price, someone very clever has been working on these to produce this sound quality at this price point. I'm presuming the issues with them may be variability in the product quality? Who knows, but I'm amazed, A+ Apple

    Degraded sound quality

This "new" version of earpods are way worse than the previous ones.
Not only they are not comfortable to use, they fall off of your ears all the time. But WORSE of all .. the quality of the sound is unacceptable: poor.
