    Falling Out

Yes, I know my ears are two slightly different sizes, but these pods are not even close to being able to fit in my ears, they are too small. This is a step back from the old earphones, which didn't fit either, but I could sort of get to stay, if I tried really hard.

Can't talk about the sound because they won't stay in or even sit close enough to the ear canal to make much of an effect.

I never used either much, but thought I'd try the new design. I'll stick with my over earphones instead and give away the new design.

    Great

as a previous owner of Beats earphone I have to say these have the equal sound quality to the high end earphones and are much more comfortable than Beats.
They feel like there aren't even earphones in my earphones
    Highly recommend
    Good job Apple

    Extremely Surprised

I've had these headphones for 3 weeks now and I have to admit I love them. I use them all the time for commuting around London the isolation is enough to hear what's going in the background/isolate it. I also use them when I go sleep, probably the only headphones that are comfortable to use when sleeping. I was worried that it was going to be a poor product like Apple's previous generation headphones.. which when I got my iphone 4 I discarded it after 10 minutes.. But love these with the iphone 5.. sound quality is awesome with a nice bass sound which lacked in the preview headphones.

    Great product

Hands down, the best in-ear headphones in the market so far. Amazing sound quality and, best of all, they don't fall out ! This is actually my favorite piece in the whole iPhone 5 box.

    Very disappointing

The earpods will not stay in my ears even while I am sitting at my desk working, I cannot imagine they would stay in while walking, running or doing any activity at all. The sound is fine, but not when they fall out of your ears constantly. I think they would stay in better if they had the rubber edge like the old ones to help prevent the hard plastic from sliding out of the ear. I would not waste your money on these, get something else even if you spend a little more. While I have been typing this review they have slid out of my ears twice...from typing.

    Okay but not great!

If you were looking good sound for your money I'd maybe spend an extra few pounds and get a reputable companies earphones and not these, after about half an hour’s use or less they end up hurting my ears due to the over sizing of them and sound quality wouldn't drown out other background noise over its poor lack of volume.

I feel disappointed after purchasing a £600 phone to get such badly designed and I'll-fitting choice of headphone replacement, they're supposed to be wore by people maybe thinking of or being able to go to the gym, after 20 mins I really couldn't wait till I got till the end of my run!

Don't get me wrong the sound quality was good, but for the money or slightly more you could've had a decent set of Sony, Klipsch, Sennheiser, or Beats. The bass I found was nonexistent in the headphones unless you went to switch on mega bass booster, (and a good way to know a good pair of headphones is you don't have to have the volume up full or on any equaliser settings to listen to your music).

On average I would say the headphones, (bar the lack of volume), are a tiny improvement on the last ones, but the ill-fitting of them means you would be limited to what time period you could wear these for!

    Broken

I had the earbuds for about a month and now the remote no longer works. Actually, it is worse than that in that it will randomly hang up my calls, start music, and engage Siri.

I like the sound quality, just not the reliability factor.

    Must Have Headphones!!

I knew these headphones were great when I first tried them out, but I really didn't appreciate them until I heard the sound "quality" seaping out of the old ear buds. The difference is night and day. Crisp, clear audio with monster bass and best thing of all: THEY DON'T FALL OUT OF YOUR EAR!

These babies rival the quality of similar headphones from Beats by Dre, but are more than half the price. No reason for a Apple customer to go anywhere else

Ther're great, if you can keep them in your ears.

I love the way they feel in my ears and the sound quality, but it is super annoying that they won't stay in. They would be a lot better if they had some sort of antislip rubberization on them to provide some friction.

I would have given them 5 stars if I didn't have to consitently keep pushing them back in. What good are they if they keep falling out? I've actually reverted back to my old headphones.

    Broken already

The mic works fine, but the remote to control the volume and answer/end calls stopped working within the first week of owning these. Will be returning them.

Very Improved But Too Expensive To Purchase On Their Own

These 'EarPods' are very nice improvement over the past earphones that came with the iPhones and iPods. They were a pleasant surprise when I bought the iPhone 5. The bass is really good, at least there is bass this time compared with the last version. But they are too expensive if you want to buy the earphones themselves. I know a good brand from Sony that costs $9.99 that sound just as good and another that is about $25 from Skull Candy that sound better and block all outside noise. These 'EarPods' do not block all sound. They do not completely plug my ears like the Skull brand. Overall a good pair of earphones that are worthwhile to use. Quality was put into these earphones but durability is an unknown for me.

    Sweet bass, wow.

Best earphones ever! They just sound so rich, and the new remote design is a lot more responsive. Yet another Apple product made to perfection!

Can't really go wrong for the price!

Obviously a lot of thought and effort has gone into the design of these earphones, and it has paid off.

The treble is crisp and clear, the bass is controlled and even at high volume does not distort. My only criticism is that the bass is not quite as deep as I would personally like, and not as deep as you would get with noise isolating in ear headphones. To this end, the mid frequencies do tend to dominate a little, but I'm sure if you are willing to spend 5 minutes in the music EQ section in the settings, you can find a good balance that is to all tastes.

All in all, a great set of earphones for the price tag, that work well, sit comfortably in the ear and sound good. Plus, if you lose them, you may not cry as much as you would over a much higher priced pair!

Technology and Design Forming Near Perfection

This new design and concept of headphones truly helps to have decent headphones for a good price while still being able to transport them. While over ear headphones deliver the greatest of sound, these in ear "earpods" create a beautiful sound and amazing quality for music. You truly have a nice balance of low, mid, and high range sounds. The bass was finally recognized in these headphones which tends to never be done within in ear headphones. I completely recommend the purchase of this Apple Product.
