It works for both your iPhone, iPad and doesn't give out too much voltage

I am able to use my Apple charger for my iPhone SE and iPad without too much voltage going to my iPhone or too much voltage going to my iPad when charging it. Meaning I like the product because I can use it for all of my Apple devices.

    Needs an adapter

This kit is not suitable for iPhone 7 chargers and this was not mentioned at point of sale. A $A29 adapter is needed as well and I didn't realise this until after I had looked inside the box. I just assumed that, if an adapter was needed, it would have been included in the kit. After all, it is called 'World Travel Adapter Kit' so one would assume all adapters would be included.

Check your wall plug, not the charger

There DO are times when the charger gets hot, but it is probably the problem with the wall plug. When the connection isn't stable, there are little sparks that can heat the whole thing up. You might not notice, but using a external cable or a power strip will solve the problem. IF the problem stills, check your connection cord.
I CAN BET SOMETHING IS WRONG, BUT PROBABLY NOT THE CHARGER, BECAUSE MINE WORK COMPLWETELY FINE. FOR 5+ YEARS.
oh, USE YOUR COMMON SENCE OF WHERE YOU PUT THIS THING AND HOW YOU PLUG IT IN.
Also, WallPlug AND Connection Cord needed to be checked.
I am a Apple lover, and I trust its quality.

    Stopped Working

My charger suddenly stopped working after 2 years. I seldom use it as I usually charged my iPad using iPhone charger. Apple please improve it.

    What is the problem???????

I've gone through many of these chargers and I'm not alone. How can something so simple be so complicated to the worlds biggest and most successful tech companies? There is no excuse.

    It just works

It's just a simple charger compatible with iStuff. However, other devices that I plug to it with USB to USB micro cable complain about slow charging, so basically Apple does not follow industry standards, which is a shame, but of course on the box they wrote what it's compatible with, so I mention that as a statement of fact and not as a complaint. One things I'd complain about is no Lightning cable - that has to be purchased separately. Considering how little producing a cable costs, this should have been included, even in an Apple product.

Charges iPhone & iPad Air SUPERFAST!

I have purchased many adapters and cables that are not genuine Apple products & they all fail 2 weeks later. This Apple adapter works great & charges my iPad Air & iPhone6 so fast! Yes, the adapter gets hot. However last time I checked, there is electric flowing through the adapter. Just like a light bulb or TV, anything with an electric currant flowing through it can get hot. I have used the same adapter for 2 years so it last long & gets the job done! I just wish Apple would make fashionable versions so there are choices other than just white. I highly recommend this adapter as it is very efficient and at just $19 USD it is very affordable. Thank you! Team Apple all day

    Applelover

I've had the iPad, iPad Air, and now iPad Air 2 as well as most of the phones including the first iPhone, now have iPhone6. Love the product but with my iPad air2 my charger gets so hot I can't leave it overnight just in case it causes my home to burn. This is really not a good advertisement to buy Apple goods also my iPad air2 itself gets very hot. Why is this Apple? I get apprehensive when my iPad gets hot so switch it off. Shouldn't have to do this. It seems as though this is not just my problem but a general one. What is Apple doing about it? Are they in denial? Hope it doesn't turn out like the hover stuff.

Never happened with the previous Apple pads and phones. Only rated it 3 stars because of the heating problems I am having, product itself is really good to use.

    Good Job Apple - Finally

Old Apple Chargers need to do specially proprietary negotiation with the device in order to turn on the high-speed charging mode. IF not, you simply get 500mA out of the old Apple Chargers, even on the old 10W charger.
This 12W Apple charger finally supports the USB Battery Charging Revision 1.1 specs, and it has the D+ and D- line shorted out to tell any connected device that it is a Dedicated Charging Port (DCP) and can automatically supply the max current (2.0A).

    Charger problem

I love Apple products, have used them since the original iPod and have never had a problem...until now. Got an iPad Air and while on a short vacation my apple charger got hot, it started smoking from the connection at the iPad and melted a small part of the charger. This was the original cable and charger. I'm afraid to charge it now so this is probably my last post, last picture and last FaceTime call home given it will lose charge soon. I'm not real happy about this...sounds like Apple has a problem but doesn't really care about fixing it. Kind of like Ford all over again, they will start to worry about it after several homes burn down.

    Just stops working

Between my wife and I, we have now had 3 of Apple's 12W power adapters fail. They seem to work for a number of months and then just stop. Not overheating, no warning...they just stop charging.
Again...I now need another one. What gives with these. Apple get your act together will you.

    charger worked well then quit

I've now had 2 12w chargers for my iPad mini. The first one quit working, and I don't know why, after about 6 months. I did notice that it was always hot to the touch when I used it. I then bought another one, which sparked as I plugged it into the wall, even the first time, so that one was also recycled. Rats. My iPad mini will charge on the little one given when I bought it, but it does take a long time. I agree with others in that Apple definitely needs to improve their product. Situations like these make people not want to buy their products. Pay attention, Apple!

    Excellent Works well!

I have seen many other reviews stating that these get hot and have been a fire risk... I personally have 5+ of these and have not had any of these issues mentioned previously. All of mine have either came with the iPad device (3rd Gen, 4rd Gen, Air, the iPad Air2 Comes with 10w) or purchased from a retail store as an additional one for travel and for the office. For what it is worth, all of mine were purchased / received prior to 2015. But Then again i have many people that i know who purchased these in 2015 and have not experienced any of the issues described previously..

I would recommend, as with any product, to have these plugged into a surge protector as power in some area can have spikes which can cause damage to electronics.

I have used this same 12 watt power block to charge the iPads from 3rd generation all the way to iPad Air 2 as well as iPhone 4s, 5s, 6 and 6 Plus with no issues.

(NOT stating that others did not genuinely have these issues - Just stating that i have personally had NONE of these issues)

Curious if maybe a faulty batch went out or if there are power issues in the areas where residents have been using these. But which ever the case I would still recommend a power surge protector between the wall and any electronic device (no matter what it is)

All in All from my point of view great product so far and have been using this for over a year now almost 2.
