    The Worst!

As much as I love Apple, the company makes the most fragile accessories and cables. Of course, they are not standard so you have to order from them. They seem to break under normal use and I am always afraid that they will fray and break down.
When you need to use your equipment it is stressful to find out that you can't charge something.

    Apple, start making better cables.

    Soddy and expensive

Have had my iPhone for about 18 months and am now on my 4th cable. They all fray no time. I agree with the other comments that this is a bit disgraceful. At £19 per cable, 3 replacement equate to just shy of £60 to keep my phone running. Lightning products are really not good value for money - maintenance costs are way too high.

    So bad, so embarrassing

For a company like Apple, or for any company for that matter, it is just downright embarrassing to make a product that consistently fails. I never ever had another cable where the insulation just spontaneously started to fray at the flex points. I've had 2 cables, both gently handled, both failed, with the insulation just fraying from the inside wire.

    Lighting Cable

I have gone through 6 lighting cables in the past 3 months and spent over $80 on lighting Cables. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that the cord breaks and stops working no matter how much I took care of it it continuously broke.

    Trash

This cord broke in a few months after purchasing new. A cord from a different brand lasted longer. This product is a disgrace to Apple product quality and the company in general. How hard is it to make a decent cord? It's a joke

    Worst iPhone cable out there

Those Apple cables are just awful.
Despite the enormous price tag they are flimsy, poorly manufactured and don't last.
After changing a few of them I gave up and switched to more durable and better designed third party cable.

Need an iPhone cable? Don't waste your money on the original one, it is a really-really bad product.

Raised the price to £19 from £15 for this garbage?

I am sick of buying this stupid cable every month. Now they raised the price from £15 to £19. Are you serious apple? What is wrong with you guys. I am switching my phone soon, bye bye apple.

    Money black hole!

I have bought so many iPhone chargers I have lost count. They always break, whether it be internally after a few months resulting in the dreaded connection and disconnection over and over and over when trying to charge my device. Or the deterioration of the cable on either end resulting in exposed wires. How can a company that prides itself on quality still be putting out cheap horrible chargers? I will be buying a different brand next time. I will not waste my money on apple anymore!

    Cable is as Cable does

I have several of these in various lengths. Never had a problem with them. I have started to take a liking to the 0.5m cables though. I've twisted them, rolled them, spun them, and haven't had any tear or fray. I fist 'em up and stuff 'em in my backpack, I twist 'em up when connecting devices in the car or in the home. I'm not sure what people expect of these cables, but they do the job. I gave 4 stars because Apple only offers them in white. Just kidding.

Tired of replacing these leads at my expense !

How about spending some money on improving the quality of all you cables they are a disgrace ! I'm sick and tired of replacing them every few months. I have a house full of apple appliances with all my family members and it's the same problem over and over.

    Unacceptable

I have needed to replace my lightning cable for my iPhone 5 a total of three times now since purchasing it. Unlike the 30pin connector for my 3rd gen ipad, which still works fine, the lightning cable (by Apple) is not suitable for daily use. Regardless it still needs to be used multiple times daily to charge a phone.

    Always Breaking

Never in my life have I had to go though more chargers for just one device. The charger tends to bunch up at the top near the charging port. After it has had enough tension, it'll rip and ruin the inner wires. I've probably bought at least 5 of these in about a year. However, the 2 meter charger cable did last me significantly longer than the .5 meter. I recommend the 2.0 meter if you have issues with the charger cord being too short. Rather than buying $100 worth of cables in a year it's a lot better to buy one $30 and go through two of them. I truly hope Apple will make their cables knit with nylon, as my old nylon cable for my iPhone 5s lasted me well over a year before it took a hit and died out.

    for single use?

if there were the option of zero stars, this would be it.
had the phone6 for a year now, purchased a dozen of chargers (not counting "borrowing mom, dad, sis, bro" chargers).
they were made for single use? for a premium product as Iphone, i was hoping a more rigid charger that would last a year, and not short my laptop & phone. i'll be buying 4 more chargers now, and spend 100$, knowing that in 4 months i'll be back to the shop, and the salesman won't be surprised :(

I stick with genuine Apple cables.

I've tried a few cables that were not made by Apple and they are never worth the money. They break and often don't charge when plugged in. I've never had an issue with genuine Apple chargers and I know now not to bother with other brands. These are well-made and I love that this cable is .5m long. I leave these plugged into my iMac for synching/charging and they are long enough to easily plug into devices but short enough that there isn't a pile of wiring on my desk.

    WORST CHARGER EVER

This charger lasts no longer than 5/6 months. This month made the 6th month for my use of the charger and it just went out. I didn't even move it around, it stayed in the same place from the beginning and I was careful with it. Apple needs to do better with the charger! How can you have top of line electronics with worthless chargers?! Can't even keep your things charged.

    Exceptionaly bad

I have lost the count on how many lighting cables I have bought. They all split at one end. I don't understand why Apple do not improve thus repeated fault! One after another always tge same! Expensive product, very poor quality and Apple dont care.

    Less than useless

Apple must have been over budget when it came to designing their lightening cables because their cables are rubbish. It doesn't matter if I buy expensive or cheap cables. They all last a few weeks. Also, I'm extremely careful with the cables - let the device and cable charge on a flat surface, pull the cable out of the device by the plastic housing and not the cable itself. Its ridiculous!!! I shouldn't have to think of ways of being gentle with a stupid cable.

Actually, lightning thread is a better name than lightning cable. Lightning cable suggests something strong. What a joke.

    Breaks easily

Had iphone 6 for one year and been through 3 cables. 2 of them just stopped working and one of them broke at the end with the metal wire-bits protruding.

    Horrible

The chargers breaks too easy. I'm paying a lot for the phone; I should be able to get a quality charger too. Apple makes a new phone every couple of months, but can't make a new charger or at least go back to the old one. I'm convinced they just want us to keep spending money every 4 months on a new charger. Or they could even move where you insert the charger, so you are not bending it as much. Please fix the issue

0 Star is the real rating

Charge cables are never an issue with any of my other audio or video equipment. NEVER.
I'm a pro in video production so at any given moment I have a dozen or two pieces of equipment to keep powered and charged.
Charge cables are ALWAYS an issue with any Apple product be it laptop, phone or tablet.
Poor design, poor quality control, and obviously engineered to fail often.
Seems desperate to me that the second most valuable company in the world must supply poor quality and then REQUIRE their licensed inferior design to carry 5v at 2amps through 2 conductors frequently unsuccessfully.
    Shame.
