    Cable rubbish

    Hi

Your iPhones are really good but charging £15 for a rubbish charger cable is shocking the cable only last like 3 months then you need a new one

    Worst Apple product ever!

You should be ashamed to still have this product on the market. We have gone through 4 genuine apple versions of this product. So, because Apple can't make a decent charger, we bought some from Belkin. Turns out our iPad rejects them, saying they are unauthorized.

For crying out loud Apple, if you can't make a good charger at least don't block others from using ones that work!

    Disappointment

I've had the charger that comes with my phone MAYBE two months, and it's already not working. Obviously this is a common complaint. Definitely investing in a braided/more sturdy charger. Not even worth dealing with these flimsy excuses again.

    Horrible

This charger worked for a few months before I had to buy a new one. Now my new one only works half the time. I can't afford to spend 19 dollars on a charger every few months. Horrible!

    Great

People saying its rubbish it's not they only brake because your careless with it and when you leave your iPhones .... Charging for say a whole night the end of the cable is bent to it courses the wired inside to brake and that will happen with any cord if you treat it badly . Just like it dose with head phone pretty much all cables ! I have had my cable 2 years now and it's only broke because it feel out of my pocket and got driven over by a car !

    Would give 0 stars

I am shocked at the poor quality of this cable. I have been through at least 7 or 8 and I have had my iPhone for a little over a year. I do not excessively twist or put stress on the cable, so I have found that no matter how gentle or careful I am with this cord, it lasts an average of 2-3 weeks before it stops working completely. If this continues and I end up spending more money on these cables than on the actual phone itself, I am going to have to find myself a different phone with chargers of a higher quality.

    A WORD TO ALL!

    Hey Yall,
AS a developer I love seeing all of these sad reviews. Haha, if you havent caught on to my sarcasam yet them I wish you well. The lighting cords awesome. Sometimes it makes you think is convient mean you can slam the cord in the door, run it over with a car, pull on the cord instead of the connector, and maybe step on it a few times. No! As Developer I understand that there are limits to the actually product strength itself. But these cords will last a very long time, sometimes makes you wonder is it product defect or just the owner/user? Got to ask yourself that question. I have had the same lighting cord that came with my iPhone 5 for a year and some change and it has been cared for and taken care and looks brand new. By the way try these steps hold your iphone and with other had grab the connector with your index finger and thumb and pull in opposite directions that might extend the length of your lighting cord. Just a little bit of advise for those who are clueless and as usual idiots.

    Unbelievably poor quality

The rubber towards the lightning connector side started to fray after about 2 weeks. The rubber then proceeded to disintegrate at a steady pace, followed by the sheathing that holds the cable.

Now, the sheathing and cable are so worn that the connector no longer works. Completely worthless after approximately 3 months of moderate use.

I have had some poor quality cables before that only last two or so years, but this is a completely new record in poor cable quality.

    0 star product

i went through 2 lightning cable in less than 12 months, both broke due to poor quality, now i decided to buy third party cable which works great and way better quality than OEM apple lighting cable.

    Worst cable ever!

this is honestly the worst charger cable i have ever bought i have been through 6 cables already and my most recent one i bought a week and a half ago has already broken! i cannot believe a company like apple would make a cable that is so poorly made and breaks so easily, it really needs to be sorted out because i cannot afford to be spending £15 every time the cable breaks, especially when i need to use my phone everyday, so it needs to be charged everyday. SORT IT OUT APPLE!!!!

What is Apple doing to fix this?!

There is obviously something wrong with the design or manufacture of this product. I have had iPhones for years and never had as much trouble with the charging cable as I have had with the iPhone 5. I have gone through 3 cables in the past 6 months and it is definitely the cable and not the phone because each time I get a new cable it works...but only for a while.

Broke After 1 Month of Usage

It wasn't even taken out of the house or moved from room to room. Stayed in one spot and... it broke. I think Apple should have a LIFETIME warranty on these cables; you can afford it Apple. We should be able to come in and replace these on the spot at any store! Please support your customers in the little things. Thanks for making awesome iPhones/iPads!

    Bad quality

The cable was never abused and it took less than a year for it to stop working (first syncing stopped working then, a few months later, the same happened for charging).

As a comparison, I've owned a few Apple 30-pin to USB cables and have been using them without issues for at least 3 years now.

It's unfortunate that Apple quality is not what it used to be.

Poor Quality or Poor Design ?

Quick note -- my Lightning to USB Cable also failed -- after a couple of months .. very disappointing. Especially given the longevity of the previous power cords for my 2 earlier iPhones --- Apple, there is a trend here --- please take a look and offer a second generation cable -- a sturdier version ...

    fragile and useless

after buying 4 of the cords to replace all the old ones I have for various apple products I was surprised to find for no apparent reason they stopped working, 3 of the 4 are now broken even though they haven't been treated badly, for the first time I may have to resort to ebay as buying them from apple doesn't seem to matter, all of my old cords are working fine, none of the lightning connecters are!!! at $25 a cord I expect some kind of quality, for the first time ever I am questioning my decision to stick with apple.

    C'mon Apple!

My lightning cable lasted 60 days. Huge inconvenience! After reading these reviews it's pretty obvious that there is a problem that needs fixed. Great phones, but if Apple cant provide something as simple as a reliable charger their competition will eat their lunch. Not what you expect from Apple. They should have stuck with the 30 pin.

    Cheaply made

This cable is cheaply made. On second cord in just over a year. Seriously for what u pay for this phone it should lasts and be well made. Apple needs to go back to the drawing board on this cable.i would give it NO stars if I could !

    Rubbish

Gone through 2 cables in 8 months, absolutely terrible product, the fakes you get on eBay for a fraction of the price are probably just as good if not better.

    Not Happy

These chargers break far to easily, the wires snap I took the plastic off to see if I could fix it and I found burn marks on the inside plastic! God forbid if it actually caught fire! This product in my opinion is very unsafe, should not be manufactured and should be recalled to go through more testing and the design be rethought. Not a happy customer!
