    Perfect Compliment to iPhone

Yes, it's a little pricey for a dock that doesn't include a cable, however you won't find anything that's as aesthetically complimentary to your iPhone than this. I bought one for work and loved the look of it so much I ordered another for home.

iPhone Lightning Dock - Rose Gold

Lovely accessory - though quite expensive! Dropped it once and has already dents on it. Expected a bit better quality, considering it's £39!

    Simple but quality dock

Excellent Dock however the iPhone can rock slightly on the lightning connector. This can cause the iPhone to stop charging. My iPhone did this and then locked the dock out and would not charge. The iPhone then needs to be switch off and on again for the iPhone to recognise the dock and to be able to charge again

    Really dissapointing

I picked up my new iPhone 6s Plus Friday 9th October, thought I would buy the dock to go with it what with matching colour and the stylish design would look brilliant on my bedside table, not going to lie looks great however looks are about as good as it gets charged fine Friday night perfectly fine Saturday night come Sunday night nothing will not charge my phone no matter what I do, the fact that the phone wobbles more than a bobble head isn't very comforting, however I've now got a very stylish £39 ornament that will not work properly, I can only guess something inside isn't connected right and that the weight of my phone disconnects the wiring as my smaller iPhone 5 does charge but it also fits perfectly no wobble no nothing can't help but think this wasn't designed with the 6/6s plus in mind and was purely made in the hope that with it being apple a new item and a good looking price of kit people will buy it, I will be taking this back to apple tomorrow and I won't be buying another. Getting fed up of them bringing new phones out and neglecting the things we are more bothered about and that's cables that don't wear turtle necks after 6 months use and a 'all new' docking method that is utterly useless. I love apple as a brand and I love their products but this not working has really wound me up. Save the money buy a 2 meter charging cable and have money to spare

Love it; useful and aesthetically pleasing

Was afraid that iphone would be unstable and wobbly on the dock after reading some of the reviews, but it's actually quite sturdy. You can still easily use the phone with one hand while it's on the dock, and do simple things like check your messages, switch songs, etc. It does wobble a little side to side if you push it, but it doesn't affect the connection anyways. Great for facetiming, cause you can prop it vertically, and have headphones connected from the back of the dock. Of course it won't work with all cases, especially the bulky ones, but really - why do you need such a bulky case anyways :P. I have one of those thin hard shell cases, and the dock works perfectly with that. Overall, I really enjoy it.

New iPhone lightening dock does not work

New iPhone lightening dock does not work.. Cord words fine plugging directly to phone. ,.i will return tomorrow. Apparently this is a frequent problem with this iPhone dock.. Bottom line try it at store. You do not want to be stuck with a dead tool.

    Matching metal minimalist dock.

Looks great and is quite sturdy.

I have to carefully and gently line up the iPhone with the lightning plug and I never get it on the first try.

If I had kids or pets that might knock or push against the docked iPhone, or if I often needed to type on the phone while docked, I'd probably opt for a dock with more support (like the Belkin model if they didn't insist on printing a big logo on the front of their dock).

    Value is also expected

Good looking piece of hardware with a nice no-skid bottom that feels solid. My problem? For $47 can the thing come with a charging cord? I really can't imagine any other manufacturer selling a charger without a cord to power it. I mean, this is a charger right and not just a pretty stand so it should come with a cord.

    Poorly thought through; essentially useless

I thought this might be Apple's response to wireless charging. Unfortunately it's just another substandard, overpriced accessory that won't provide you with any commensurate benefit. The phone cannot be undocked one handed. It provides no benefit for disconnecting your phone quickly and easily. Secondly, your phone isn't supported by anything save the lightning bolt connector, which i find is precarious at best. It wobbles a bit and places your device at unnecessary risk of being knocked over.

My life would be unchanged and I would be $75 richer had I not purchased this item.

    Not thrilled

My dock arrived today, and I'm disappointed I thought from the description that it would charge my phone but it needs the cable that came with the phone, or I can connect to to my Mac but again I need the cord. So, if your looking for a way to display your phone in an upright position then you'll be happy! I think mine is going back, I just haven't decided yet. I agree with others that it should have come with it's own cord and cube in matching colors. I have the tech21 mesh case and it sits fine.

    Solid build, wobbly connection

This little dock looks great and is built very well. It's deceptively heavy, so you don't have to worry about it tipping over with your phone connected. The problem is that the phone wobbles from side to side when touching it on the dock. You have to use 2 hands, one to hold the device steady and the other to operate it, as well as remove it from the base. I like it well enough, but it's a tad pricey.

Will not work with a case

Had high hopes for this dock. If you have a case on your phone don't waste your time. The only way it will work is to remove the phone from the case to charge. Not worth the trouble. This one is going back.

    What is it for?

You are probably reading this hoping that I would have the answer to the question of why you would buy one. I bought this thinking that for some reason it would be a useful addition to my new iPhone. However, my conclusion is that its trying to solve a problem that does not exist - well the problem doesn't seem to exist in my life.

The only benefit I've seen is that the plug of my phone charger is below my desk, so when I unplugged the phone, the cable would sometimes slide off the desk and fall to the floor. This accessory stops that from happening...

    Works Only on Clean Iphones

If you've purchased gear to protect your iPhone such as a shell, then this may not be a product for you. I have a shell with a cutout for the charger input. It doesn't seat properly and won't charge. It does charge my iPad, so I'm not yet returning it; however, buyer beware. The charge/connection doesn't happen unless the lightening bolt connector is fully seated. Any other configuration, it won't work. FYI.

Don't buy if you have a case on your phone

I loved the idea of the dock. However, despite a well made, minimalist case, the dock will not connect unless my phone is naked. How does Apple not get that we put cases on our devices, and they need to allow a bit of space for them? I should not have to get my scalpel out and do case surgery to make the dock work.

    Style over substance!

This is an excellent quality product; it feels substantial (for a small item) and well made.

That, sadly, is as far as it goes ....

The design is really disappointing with the entire weight of any attached device resting on the lightning connector. With my iPhone 6 connected, I dare not press on the home button hard enough to wake the phone to read my thumb print, without feeling the need to use my other hand to support the phone. Add to this the fact that the silicone base, which is obviously meant to prevent slip, quickly picked up dust and started to slip on any slightly shiny surface with even the slightest amount of applied pressure.

Additionally, because of the curved nature of the mount for the lightning connector, any device feels unsteady, with unacceptable side to side (as well as front to back) movement possible.

As I'm about to upgrade to an iPhone 6S Plus, with it's weight gain over my iPhone 6, I feel this will only further accentuate the unsteadiness. Sadly I have had to return this item as I feel it is unfit for purpose.

    Charging cord NOT included

I am sure if I had read the description three times I would have noticed but - this does NOT include the charging cord. It coyly says the cord is "included with your iPhone" - it could have just as easily said "sold separately"

When you add up the cost of this plus a cord, it is not great value. And annoying to people like me who bought it to use at work (and my cord's at home).

    Unclear bordering on sneaky.

Is what it says it is

I received my Lightning doc, perfectly designed, exactly what i would have expected from apple. I wish i had read closer however, as the doc comes in a tiny box, with just the doc, no usb cord to connect it to power. At $99 you'd almost think it would come with a cord, so it can be used straight away. The normal length usb cables are not long enough to have the doc sit on your desk if charging from a wall socket.
