    Nice but expensive

It's a great case. Looks nice, feels nice, and is probably the slimmest and lightest case available. It would be nice if there was some way for it to accommodate the Apple Pencil, but then it probably wouldn't look as sleek and simple.

Note that the left side of the iPad will be relatively unprotected if you don't add the Smart Cover.

    9.7 Midnight Blue

Apple's always coming out with just great products and have always been raising the standards, for them and I guess for every other company as well . The iPad Pro 9.7'' case (Midnight Blue) is better than any other cheap look-a-likes out there.

    Great Work Apple.

Like the case, but what about the pen?

I finally jumped in and bought my first iPad (a late bloomer, I know).
I got the keyboard and the pen with it also. I was able to buy a case for the iPad (although not the most exciting colors... what's up Mac?), which also takes care of the keyboard. But what about the $100 pen I have floating around?
I can put it on my purse with all the other junk I have in there... where else can it go? I've seen 3rd party cases, but those still have the pen floating around on it's own. Or a case that holds the pen and not the keyboard.
Now I constantly have to search for the pen with a brief panic that I've lost it somewhere.
With all of this hype about the brilliant iPad Pro 9.7 with it's fancy keyboard and artsy pen, I would have thought a cover that keeps everything handy would have been available.

I like it, but way too expensive.

Different colors get different reviews, so I guess I'm the only one to review the Midnight Blue case so far.

I've never been a fan of silicone cases- they always feel "sticky" to me, and I like the leather Apple has been using on their cases in recent years, up to this point. Unfortunately- this is the only case available from Apple for the iPad Pro 9.7". I wouldn't have bought a case for it at all if it wasn't for the protruding camera lens- what were you thinking Apple? It's an annoyance for a phone, but ludicrous on a tablet.

At any rate- this case is high quality, fits perfectly (of course), with excellent access and feel to the buttons. Like all Apple cases- the cutouts all match perfectly. For a silicone case- it also has a pretty nice feel- almost as good as the leather. It has a nice matte finish that isn't "sticky" feeling to me. It is designed for, and works very well with, the Smart Keyboard, and I'm assuming will work equally well with the Smart Cover.

I would give it five stars if it weren't for the price. I know it is "premium" quality, but come on- $70? I will say that unlike the cheap cases that are already starting to flow out of China, this one also has a very nice "plush" interior layer that will provide some additional scratch protection, and gives it an even softer feel. It also has the Apple Apple on it, embossed in a darker color, which is a nice touch. I doubt it will provide any drop protection, but it will at least keep the iPad Pro from getting all scratched up, and I don't feel bad unceremoniously plopping it down on my desk, or if it falls off my lap onto carpet.

Dropped the iPad and it cut the corner of the Silicone Case too easy

As there is no leather case so I had to buy the silicon rear case. It cut easily when the iPad was dropped onto a corner. It dropped as the flimsy magnetic cover came off the top of the iPad with very little pressure. This would not have happened with the leather case. My new iPad Pro 9.7 now has dent in the corner after 24 hours.
