Image Editing in ColorSync
Color Correction
Another great feature of the ColorSync Utility is the ability to color-correct an image. To color-correct an image:
Step 1: Click the Image Correction button in the toolbar.
Step 2: Make the desired adjustments using the Image Correction palette options.
Step 3: Choose Save As from the File menu to apply the modifications.
The Image Correction palette gives you complete control over exposure, white-point, black-point, gamma, saturation, brightness, contrast, sharpening, and even sepia-tone effects. You can use these tools to perform basic image improvements, such as correcting brightness, contrast, and sharpness without having to launch a more robust image editing application. Once you have made your desired corrections, you can save the new file to your hard drive in a number of common image file formats (even Photoshop).
