Working with Video in Logic Pro
Logic Pro makes soundtracks simple. You dont even need to open any other applications you can open a QuickTime movie, import audio from it, create audio tracks, mix, and export your soundtrack back into your movie, all within Logic Pro. Heres how.
Opening QuickTime Movies in Logic Pro
Step 1: Create a new Logic Pro session.
Step 2: From the Options menu, go to the Movies sub-menu, where most of Logic Pros video commands reside, and select Open Movie.
Step 3: Navigate to the QuickTime movie you want to open. The movie opens in its own Logic Pro window.
Step 4: You can also view the movie as a series of thumbnails arranged on a timeline a great navigation tool.
From the Arrange windows View menu, navigate to the Global Track Components sub-menu and select Video.
If you need to import the movies pre-existing audio track along with its video, do the following:
Step 1: Create or select a pre-existing stereo audio track.
Step 2: From the Movies sub-menu, select Import Audio to Arrange.
Step 3: The audio track appears in your session.
