A little planning up front can go a long way. When you import your images into iPhoto, spend a few minutes adding titles, ratings, keywords, and comments to keep your library organized and up to date. Then, when you’re ready to create your digital portfolio, you’ll be able to find your best work instantly, no matter how big your library is.

Plan your titles, keywords, comments, and ratings

Your titles, keywords, comments, and ratings will be helpful when you create albums and Smart Albums. For example, using keywords and ratings will make it easy to create an album with all your best wedding photos.

Use more than just photos in your digital portfolio

If you want to use images created in a graphics or CAD application as part of your digital portfolio, save the images as JPEG or TIFF files, and then drag them from a Finder window to your iPhoto Library.
