Adding titles can take your slideshow one step further by introducing an image or collection of images. Another way of setting a mood in your work is by adding audio to your slideshow. iMovie has several professionally designed titles that you can use to introduce your digital portfolio, or even describe each shot. You also have access to your iTunes library, your GarageBand projects, and you can even record your own voice to describe your portfolio.

Add narration to your slideshow

With a built-in microphone, an iSight camera, or a USB microphone attached to your Mac, you can easily add your own narration to your slideshow. For example, you can add additional details about a photo such as how you took the shot or how you edited it. To add your own narration, click the Audio button in the Media pane, make sure the playhead is where you want to start recording, click the Record button, and start talking.

Create your own music for your digital portfolio

Remember, copyright laws might prevent you from using songs from other artists for commercial purposes, so you might consider using your own music. With GarageBand, you can create your own music easily, and from there it’s easy to add that music to your digital portfolio, without having to pay royalty fees.
