With only one or two slideshows on a DVD, a simple menu is enough for viewers to navigate your digital portfolio. If you have several galleries in your portfolio, adding additional menus will make viewing and navigating the DVD easier. You can use map view to lay out the way viewers can navigate your DVD. You can even make changes to the navigation by dragging items from one menu to another.

Change the theme of a menu

You don’t have to keep the same theme for every menu of your digital portfolio. In map view it’s easy to select a menu and change the theme. With larger portfolios, having a unique theme will set each gallery apart. To change the theme of a menu, simply choose the menu you would like to customize, click the Themes button, and then select a new theme from the Themes pane.

Add a “splash screen” to your DVD

When your clients put your digital portfolio in their DVD player, the first thing they’ll see is your main menu. If you would like to introduce your digital portfolio with a short slideshow, a single photo, or a short movie, you can add a splash screen. In iDVD map view, drag a picture or movie to the item labeled “Drag content here to automatically play when the disc is inserted” to add a splash screen to your digital portfolio.
