About the Apple Online Store Product Reviews Program.
Thanks for your interest in the Online Apple Store product reviews program. Were excited to give you the opportunity to submit reviews of Apple and third-party products.
To submit a review, you must first sign in using your Online Apple Store, .Mac or iTunes Music Store account. If you have never registered with Apple, you can set up a free account quickly and easily without having to provide credit card or other confidential information.
How does it work?
Pretty simple, really. Just write a review of a product like an iPod case or a pair of headphones and click Submit. If there are any immediate problems with the review, the system will catch them and ask you to change the review.
Apple reserves the right to remove a review at any time.
Be sure to rate each product from one to five stars. The rating displayed on the product page reflects an average of all customer submissions.
Terms & conditions
Yes, some legal rules do apply to this feature. Here they are:
Visitors to the Online Apple Store may submit reviews of select Apple and third-party products, provided that the content is not illegal, inaccurate, obscene, threatening, libelous or defamatory, violating any third-party rights (including intellectual property or privacy rights), or otherwise injurious or objectionable and does not consist of or contain political campaigning or commercial solicitation. Additionally content must not focus on service and support, shipping, Apple partners, or software/hardware up-to-date policies. You may not use a false e-mail address, pretend to be another person or entity, or otherwise mislead others. Apple reserves the right (but has no obligation) not to publish any review. You may not submit more than one review per product. Apple has the right but not the obligation to monitor or remove any content.
If you do submit a review, and unless we indicate otherwise, you grant Apple, its affiliates and sublicensees a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right and license (i) to use, reproduce, store, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display your content throughout the world in any media and (ii) to use, reproduce, distribute and display the name that you submit in connection with such content. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post; that the content is accurate and not misleading; that use of the content you supply does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity; and that you will indemnify Apple, its affiliates and sublicensees for all claims and damage resulting from (i) any and all content you supply and (ii) your violation of these Terms and Conditions.
