Music Workshops

iPod and iTunes

iTunes is the best digital jukebox for Mac and Windows. We’ll show you how to use iTunes to import and organize your music, find a song or artist instantly, create playlists, burn them to CDs, and sync your music to an iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV. The iTunes Store lets you buy music, music videos, TV shows, movies, or audiobooks — even rent movies. And with iPod, you can take it all with you wherever you go.

GarageBand

GarageBand puts an entire recording studio right on your Mac, and you can use it to record, edit, and mix a song exactly how you want it. We’ll show you how to compose a song with loops, beats, live instruments, and vocals. No music experience required. We’ll even show how you to use Magic GarageBand to generate a song for you. You pick the genre and performance style. GarageBand does the rest.

Logic Express 8

Using Logic Express 8, you can record, edit, and mix music with unmatched quality, speed, and ease. We’ll introduce you to the streamlined interface and innovative production tools it shares with Logic Pro 8 and explain how you can take advantage of its many instruments and effects to create professional recordings.

Logic Studio

You’ll find everything you need to write, record, edit, mix, and perform music — in the studio and on the stage — using Logic Studio. We’ll show you exactly what you can accomplish with the software suite designed expressly for professional musicians, introducing you to Logic Pro 8, MainStage, Soundtrack Pro 2, powerful instruments, rich effects, and a massive sound library.
