Still 2

Duamutef, jackal-headed protector of the stomach and small intestines. This is one of four beeswax figurines of protective deities that were inserted in Seramon’s thoracic cavity by the embalmers. The similarity in density between the beeswax and the soft tissues of the mummy made extraction of this image a challenge.

The four protective deities whose wax figurines accompanied Seramon: Imsety (humanoid protector of the liver), jackal-headed Duamutef, baboonlike Hapi, protector of the lungs, and Qebehseneuf, a hawk figure that protected the large intestines.
