Integration with Final Cut Studio
Motion 3 lets you fluidly move projects into and out of other applications in Final Cut Studio.
Final Cut Pro to Motion. Final Cut Pro sequences sent to Motion retain editable cuts, layers and retiming effects in the Motion project.
Motion to Final Cut Studio applications. Drag any Motion project into Final Cut Pro or DVD Studio Pro without exporting or rendering. Instantly see updated motion graphics in either application after you save changes to your project in Motion. Or send your audio to Soundtrack Pro. As soon as you save the updated soundtrack, it appears in Motion.
Editable Motion 3 master templates. Send Motion 3 master templates to Final Cut Pro — complete with drop zones for video and fields for editable text — and update them without leaving Final Cut Pro.
Integration with other applications
Motion 3 also works smoothly with applications outside Final Cut Studio, including Apple Shake and common Adobe graphics applications.
Motion 3 and Shake 4. Send Motion projects to Shake 4, Apple’s industry-leading compositing tool, by dropping Motion projects into Shake without rendering. Then composite and render 32-bit OpenEXR files in Shake to finish an effects shot.
Adobe file formats. Easily import vector-based Adobe Illustrator files or layered Photoshop graphics. Or use native Motion projects as nested compositions in After Effects 7. You’ll be able to work fast and keep your options open thanks to the integration features in Motion 3.

Get a jump start on your next motion graphics project. An extensive library of motion graphic elements designed by Apple is available for your use — royalty-free — right in Motion 3.
Select from a large set of particle systems, including smoke, fire, rain, bubbles, clouds, snow, glittering sparkles and more. Pick an elegant animated shape, such as calligraphy effects. Or select from a library of stunning high-resolution textural photographs. Use combinations of elements as building blocks for your own creations and modify any element at will.
Media management
In Motion 3, it’s easier than ever to share projects. The Collect Media function moves all the content associated with a project into a folder. You can even exclude Unused Media from the collected assets.
Use Spotlight keyword searches to drill through your projects down to the layer level to locate just the project you need.
