Soundtrack Pro 2 features a streamlined interface that allows video editors to work efficiently with familiar tools, while simultaneously providing the depth and control that audio professionals need to complete the most complex projects.
Single-window interface
The multitrack Timeline is combined with the File Editor in a new single-window interface that lets you fly through audio editing and mixing. Start with a simple Timeline, then progressively disclose additional interface controls for sophisticated tasks. Customise screen layouts, including configurations for single- and dual-display systems.
Non-destructive, multichannel File Editor
Select any clip from the multitrack Timeline, then use the integrated multichannel File Editor to perform non-destructive edits and processing on the audio file.
Spectrum view editing
View audio frequency over time in the Spectrum view, with amplitude revealed through colour intensity. Select portions of the audio frequency with pinpoint precision, then edit them without affecting other frequencies.
Multitrack Action List
Instantly recall a list of actions for any file or clip in your multitrack project using the multitrack Action List. Quickly reorder, suspend or delete any operation on any file at any time, right in the single-window interface.
Integrated video playback
Watch perfectly synchronised HD or SD video in the integrated playback window. You can also choose to view the picture on a second monitor, or send the video out through professional I/O devices to a broadcast monitor.
The Bin
Use the Bin to manage audio files, clips and markers across multiple projects. The Bin includes powerful search and sort tools and provides single-click access to your media.
Incredible sound design
Use Soundtrack Pro 2 to create new sounds in mono, stereo or surround, or modify sounds included with the application. Layer sounds in the multichannel File Editor, then experiment freely by using the Action List to quickly reorder, suspend or delete edits and processing steps.
You can sculpt exactly the sound you want with more than 50 professional stereo and surround effect plug-ins included in Soundtrack Pro 2. Choose EQ, Compression, Reverb, or more extreme delay, distortion and modulation effects. Then extend your collection with a range of fully compatible third-party Audio Units plug-ins.
Finally, when you’re ready to incorporate music and sound effects, you can pull from a library of more than 6000 Foley, sound effect and music segments, including more than 1000 sound effects and full music beds in surround — all provided royalty-free in Soundtrack Pro. Easily add third-party music and effect libraries when you want more options.
