    Perfect headphones for me!

    • Written by from London

Considering that even though I have never owned any wireless headphones, but I don't trust them. So, for a few months I was considering the B&O H6 and the B&W P7 until my wife bought me these headphones for my birthday. I must admit that they are just perfect for me. I don't listen to music loudly and I don't listen to music for its beats and this is why I am so happy with them. I don't say they are incapable of producing loud sound or deep bass, but they definitely make a great sound. With these headphones I can hear sounds that I could never hear before. They are just pitch perfect. They are also so comfortable to wear. I can wear them for ours on long flights and I don't feel tired. Even though they don't have noise cancelling, but I can hardly hear the airplane engine. They are highly recommended to anyone who wants a great pair of over-ear headphones.

I'm Acoustic music lover and I own B&W p7 the only thing I don't love about my B&W is that it's heavy on my ear, So I read review about H6 and how it is comfortable so I bought it but I found that the sound of H6 doesn't compare with the sound of B&W p7 specially when it comes on acoustic songs(Guitar) with B&W I can even feel the strings which I can't with B&O H6. B&W make me more live and enjoy the music.

I'm a sound engineer and producer, I have recorded and mixed albums using these headphones extensively. They have the flattest frequency response of any headphone I've owned and I've owned many. You'll hear things you've never heard in your music before when you wear these. Highs, mids and lows are all just really nice and flat, you'll hear what the record producer intended for you to hear, not hyped up junk that other headphones have. Ear fatigue will be kept to a minimum. They are comfortable to wear. My only gripe was that the first set I purchased had to be returned as it seemed like the low end drivers stopped working after 5 days. The replacement set have been going strong for 7 months now and I wear them for a few hours every day. I expected the cable to die on me after a few months but it's still going strong after plenty of abuse. I love 'em and recommend them highly. Good music deserves to be heard on great headphones like these, you won't regret it. I spent an hour sampling all the headphones in the apple store and these smoked all of the others available. I often fall asleep wearing them, they are comfy…but I think I'll buy some B&O in ears so I can sleep on my side. One more thing…my first set was the brown colour…I had buyers remorse over the colour and was glad they broke so I could replace them with a black set. The brown looked great on my computer screen and in the apple showroom but I looked like an idiot wearing them. Go with the black, they won't show the dirt and scuffs as much.

    Average sound great build

    • Written by from Vancouver

I moved to these after owning the B&W P5s for a few years. While they are superior in comfort and perhaps even build (the wire on my P5s broke regularly and eventually the headphone band) they are inferior when it comes to sound. There's almost no bass delivery at low volumes and it's generally quite a cold, flat sound. I'd go for the P7s over these or I've just switched to the AKG K845BT which aren't quite as light or comfy as the H6 but have a richer sound and offer Bluetooth connectivity at a significantly lower price.

    Unique and powerful headphone!

    • Written by from Northampton

I recently saw this headphone from the Apple Website and I went to my local Apple Retail for a try, the result is that I bought them right after, they are just great! I also have the Beats Studio Wireless and even those two both have really great sound quality, the Beo H6 is much better when you listen to song that is more mid range and those songs which has more voice than more bass effect, where as the Beats headphones just completely focus on bass, I highly recommend this headphone for those who want a really fashion and also great sound headphones, also I have to say that there built quality and comfort.......No.1 compare with any headphone I ever had and try. Really love them and highly recommend!!

Not even close to B&W p7 IN TERMS OF ENJOYING MUSIC!or get $300 amp with it

    • Written by from Baulkham Hills

Ok, i am no audiophile, but neither are 99% of people that listen to music. There are many that pretend to be, but honestly, there are very few. This might be a great headphone but it fails to address a very basic point that music needs to be enjoyed with the soul, not sound technical. Its like driving a car that might be better in specs than others, but just is not fun to drive. Too technical, with no soul. . If you want to compose music, ok, then maybe this headphone will be useful, provided you also have something that can drive this thing. But if you want to enjoy your music on portable equipment, this thing is no good without the amp!. Buy this and spend another $300 on amp, might as well, get a HI-FI headphone like the HD700!

I returned this and got the P7..right out of the box, the sound was amazing...so much fun to listen to music, even the tracks i don't like, sound so good that i keep listening to anything cause the p7's sound is so beautiful....

Seriously, if you listen to H6 without the amp on anything portable, its worse than a $50 headphone in terms of enjoying your music. its like skeletal music without any body on it. Notes might be clear on the h6, but with no soul. Feels like there is cohesion between different notes in the tracks. Also, they are lighter than the p7, but the round ear pieces are very uncomfortable, even though i have small ears.

Wow. I have tried lots of headphones and always find one or two flaws in every one. No product is perfect but these are as perfect as any product can be. I was debating between these and others like the bowers and wilkins p7's. The p7s are way too heavy and big and not as comfortable despite sounding as good as these beoplay h6's.

Lets talk about what to love. They are build so comfortable and light and of quality materials. The sound quality is so clear and despite what some have said i love the way it sounds on even hip hop music. The ear cups are a good size but do not stick out or make you look dorky in public. The cable on them can be plugged into the left or even the right ear cup it is your choice! The ear cups are soft and feel built to last. The remote on the inline remote is also big enough to feel unless some that are hard to use due to size or hard to click. The cable is also the thickness of the beats headphones so they do not tangle easily. The mobile cord is long enough but not so long it hands down too much like bose ae headphones did. Lastly my ears dont get hot with these as much as almost all other headphones.

Trust me when i say this.. i honestly cannot find a flaw with these. I listen to pop, hip hop, rock, alternative and even 80's and 90's music and these sound perfect with all of it. If you want tons of bass just turn up the bass in the equalizer on an iPod or iPhone. They can handle it and sound great either way. They are beautiful headphones and as light as most bose ones but with much better sound. You can't go wrong with these and the sound is equal to the bowers and wilkins p7s which i loved too. Just wasn't crazy about their size, weight and leather pads that made me hot in the summer. These are my favorite headphones i have ever owned and they will be replacing my bowers p5's.

    Simply the best!

I have owned many, many headphones. As an avid audiophile and muso, I get pleasure from hearing details. Not for the sake of detail, but within the context of each musical piece. These cans represent outstanding sonic and build quality, superior comfort and top it off with portability and easy to drive.

By far my favourite headphones, representing outstanding value (for me).

    Highly, highly recommended.

    Worth the price, great headphones!

    • Written by from Cold Spring Harbor

I set off looking for a over the ear headphone and boy are there lots of them to choose from. I thought I wanted noise canceling, but they made me feel like I was swimming underwater and I didn't like that feeling. I went to a few different stores and spent a few hours testing different types of headphones. I wanted to like the B&W P7s based on the reviews I had read online, but they just didn't block out noise like the B&O do around my ears. Tried Beats, Solo, Bose, Parrot, Sony etc. etc. but in the end I kept coming back to the B&O. They are very comfortable to wear, look and feel high end and sound pretty good to top it off. Now yes, the bass on these will not blow you away in fact they may put off the lowest sounding bass out of all the ones I tried, but I don't like heavy bass. Are they worth $400, my answer in a nut shell is yes. They sound amazing, you hear sounds from your music you've never heard before, block out a decent amount of external noise and look and feel high end compared to the +$300 competitors. So yes, I shelled out $400 and picked up a pair of B&O H6 and have been happy with them so far.

    Superb & uncompromising headphone

    • Written by from Yateley

These headphones are impeccable quality both in sound and build quality, with amazing style and sophisticated aesthetics. The headphones are surprisingly light despite being built out of high-quality aluminium and leather, with memory foam padding making them easy to listen to for hours. The sound is definitely the best I have ever heard from headphones, I have Bang and Olufsen speakers at home and the H6's are the closest thing I have heard to loud speakers, the sound is exceedingly full with a clarity of sound and positioning second to none. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for premium headphones, as well as the exceptional service Bang and Olufsen provides their customers.

I'm not going to write what headphones I had before, but I had all names you can read in audiophile reviews.

I bought them after I spent three hours in Apple Store listening H6 (I didn't found any disadvantage that not spend $400), I can say only one thing about sound, I never heard something like H6 before.

    Outstanding by all standards

Yesterday I punched the B&W P5 headphones. They sounded great, but I could not wear them for longer than 5-10 minutes without my ears hurting.

I returned them to the Austin Apple store and upgraded to the B&O H6. The also have excellent sound, but are soooo comfortable. The increase in cost over the B&W was well worth it.

If I have any complaint, it is that the carrying case is not very protective. I can live with that for the sound and comfort.

A different suggestion to sound. Excellent Design/ Clear Sound

    • Written by from Nicosia

I own this pair for some months now and I must say, this pair is one of the best closed-back consumer headphones out there. As a sound engineer I own a lot of headphones and I normally had to go with open-back headphones to find clear and transparent sound; most closed back are full of bass and delivering muddy sound with almost no high frequencies.
H6 manage to deliver a transparent, clear sound, which at first sounds odd, especially when you didn't hear your music through such clear medium before. As soon as you spent a couple of minutes with it, you will start hearing things on songs you never heart before! I highly recommend this product, or at least try it and you will see the difference.

Balance is great, bass is not boosted, still there at very low frequencies, while high frequencies are clear and transparent. Vocals are good.
Negatives, no hardcase (smooth cloth one) and my ear doesnt fit really well within the cushions ;)

    Awesome sound! And beautiful too

    • Written by from Poughkeepsie

First of all, the robustness and quality materials used really make these headphones stand out. The sound is very true, accurate, and my ears cannot pick up any distortion. As some reviewers have written, the sound is flat which is exactly how I like it. If you prefer more base one can enable the equalizer that most Apple products have. If you are looking for great studio reference headphones, this is it. I have always been impressed by Bang & Olufsen's sound, quality, and design.

You just have to listen to see for yourself....Comfort is superb, overall clarity is superb...have used QC15, BW and Sennheiser Momentum and this is the best of the bunch! Really check it out at your local Apple Store first, and make sure you are playing FLAC or other high quality songs to see the difference

Great quality, but poor on-head design & flat sound for the price.

    • Written by from Toronto

Purchased the tan&steal B&O H6 which look great in the marketing materials online and offline, but do not look good on-head. I found them bulky and the sounds flat for the price of the product. On the positive side, the quality of the product is very good, with a nice thick detachable sturdy cord.
